Cool 'rolla just had a quick scan through your topic and I like what I see. Those wheels are a rather nifty purchase I'm sure they will look cool on the car.

i think it's gonna take some time before the car is finished, i'm nowhere near the speed of most members op un here i think ;D I hope i can finish it this year, but my aim is 2009 I want to learn from this, and i want to do it properly, so that's why it takes some time. Didn't look at the engine yet, need to lift the head of soon. But if i find a 2T-G (1.6 8V DOHC with 10 bhp) in the mean time, i'll buy that, because i have got everything ready for that swap except a motor

It doesn´t need to be finished by August but has to be mobile. Otherwise we´ll have to drag you along in the back of the van to RR08!

they are Escort wheels Every old Toyota which had 12" wheels from the factory had a 4x110 PCD, which makes Ford wheels fit But now i've got AE86 front legs and searching for a KE30 rear axle to convert to 4x114,3 (allthough i have PCD changing spacers if i can't find an axle)

Hey Doc - glad it's getting something done - no matter what the pace is! Hope the engine isn't fubar'd - the front end doesn't look like it'll be too much heavy work - How's the rest of the shell.....? I just noticed you're up in Goirle - only an hour away(ish), if you need an extra pair of hands - a bit of advance warning and I can make some time I'm sure. John EDIT**** - KE30? any model spefic etc? Common name - I'll keep an eye out if you let me know what a KE30 is!! HA HA

KE30 is the next Corolla in the line Same rear axle, but with 4x114,3 PCD: The rest of the shell is pretty good. There's a small patch of rust on the passengersside C-pillar and i think it once had a rear and collision, because of some patching underneath. Floor is really good, everything is covered in think black goo LOOOONG time ago, so it saved all that. Only 2 small repairs on the sills needed i think. If i need a pair of hands, i'll let you know

Today I had to wait untill the paint on a car from a friend was dry enough to go on with repair damaging, so I stripped some more from the car: door and splashshield gone: all looking VERY good underneath: other side: same story, very solid!! allthough I have slight rubbing problems due to big steering angle, you can see it on the inner fender Started on the rear, bumperless! rear lights etc. removed, again looking very solid!! only place which had some rust was hidden behind the rear bumper and a bit of metal: won't need welding I think, it's only thick surface rust Endresult of today: it's looking very good atm ;D Very little serious grot comes out underneath the panels, so i'm a happy camper ;D
