i much much prefer the road-spec and earlier front mud guard. i really don't like mine.
have you any pics of your's? i'd love to hear more about it.
but i do like the high lift exhaust! ;D
I also took that horrible plastic thing off from around the headlight - looks much better for that!

i did a whoopsie!on thursday, i was riding home for my lunch because i had a free lesson. i was riding along past some shops and the car in front had stopped to let a car come through (there is only room for one car). I stopped behind the car, and then we started to pull away, next thing i know she is slamming on the brakes, and tho i tried i didnt stop in time and went 'crunch' into the back of the Peugeot 307. Thankfully we werent going very fast so i stayed on the back, but the back end lifted well up off the ground. the women looked at me in the mirror and i indicated to pull over which we did. anyways, it turned out that this old guy in a Micra had pulled out in front of her. then, while we were talking about it, this guy came over and said he had seen it happen, and the old guy shouldnt of pulled out and the women agreed too. Anyways, understandly, i was shaken up to the point of shaking. and we looked over her car, and there was a mark from my tyre that rubbed off, but nothing else. this women, she was one of the nicest people i know. she ran one of the shops and took me in and gave me a glass of water and told me to calm down. whats more, they wouldnt even take my insurance details because there wasnt any damage to their car. so after thanking them (her husnband had appeared by this point) many times i left and went and had my lunch. i couldnt see any damage to the bike, but thought i would have the front wheel checked out because thats where all the inpact had been. so, i rode back to college for my afternoon lessons, and then after college went to the local tyre fitters. the dude came out and looked at the wheel and said it looked ok, but while looking noticed quite a lot of play in the steering and spotted a broken steering bush. me: 'how serious is that?' tyre guy: 'well, just look at this play. it needs replacing.' me: 'can it be rode until its fixed?' tyre guy: 'well...it needs doing.' d'oh! So, i rode home and then had to tell the parents. and yesterday i got up early to begin the strip down. See that crack, well it shouldnt be there.... stripped down and removed the handlebars, and took out the front wheel before removing the forks, so the bike now looks like this... a very sorry sight. And here is a picture of the culprit... So, now we've gotta try and get hold of a new one - probably from Germany - in the mean time, i've been demoted to the buses!

Obviously would have been better if it hadn't happened but hey....you are alive, not hurt,no-one else is dead/hurt andyour very cool bike is repairable for a not too horrendous amount of dosh. 8-)It's cool that you're doing the fix yourself too...well done.

Looks cool with the red heat sheild. Shame bout the damage but your capable enough to fix it which is a good thing. Imagine how much you'd be paying if you were paying to get it done.
