here's my daily! not a car, but it is a 'ride'! ;D being only 16, they only allow me 50cc's though....but i thought, you've gotta keep old commie motors on the road and you don't want a scooter....result? bless my little L plates and a bit of a scimitar here Anything above 40mph is wishful thinking! oh, and since taking that photo i've done another 7 miles. its great fun, 4 speed, acelerates quickly enough, then runs out of steam...ah well, does for around town. we bought it in december off ebay for £180. collected it from lancashire...then waited for me to get my CBT, which took us into feb...booked it in for an MOT and it broke down on the way. ordered a new carb and bits from germany and it broke down on the way to the test station again...an adjustment to the float in the carb and it now runs fine...MOT'd for a year and everything. yeah, so thats it...i love it, and the seats really comfy

Looks quality. I'm considering buying a Yamaha YB100 as a play thing. I love the old Low cc bikes. They look so cool.

Like Dazmax says I haven't seen a Simson for years either. IIRC at one time you could buy them out of the Littlewoods catalogue Love the "kerb-view" mirror and the stoppie-tastic drum brake

the drum brakes are ok, havent had to do much heavy braking yet.

there is one on the front, attached to the right hand front fork.
most people gave me funny looks but i don't care because :
A / its cool B / its quicker and more convinent than walking / getting a bus C / the fact that no one likes it means they are less likely to steal it.

50c's is fine if you just wanna ride around town and not venture above 35mph, but for anything else i'd look at a proper bike

some more pics. The bike was going very well and i was using it everyday and doing nearly 10miles a-day on average! then, 2 fridays ago we had a torential down pour and on the way home from school the bike cut out several times and wouldnt start after it had cut out for quite a while. that evening we checked the gap in the flywheel magneto between the contacts. adjusted that, and off i went again. the next day it ran fine...and i'd been out late and was coming home nad had the best 10minutes on that bike ever ;d however, on the sunday i took it out and it was going fine and it suddenly started mis-firing. i nursed it home at 20miles an hour. since then, it has been in and out of the garage as we tried all sorts to fix it. took the carb apart and cleaned that out. drained the petrol thank. checked the connects onto the coil (the coil was new so we didnt need to worry about), checked the switch in the ignition system. eventually, yesterday, we found the problem. the condensor had died. so, got a new one now and the bike is running perfectly. i'm going out to wash it in a minute because tomorrow we are putting it on the trailer with my dad's 1935 Panther and taking them upto Scotland. We are leaving the car and trailer and Addrossan and taking the bikes across on the ferry to Aron. riding round Aron, then back onto the mainland on the other side before riding down to Cambletown where we are staying in a wooden cabin with the rest of the family. staying there for a couple of days, and then coming home by the same route and going to a Panther Owners Club rally on the way back. I can't wait - i just hope the bike works fine. ;D ;D pics will be a-plenty

:)I don't have a motorcycle but a ride out in the Bugrat on a nice summers evening is strangely relaxing....any stress seems to drain away somehow.
