Here we are then people, not the usual RR fare but something some people may appreciate : As bought: i47.photobucket.com/albums/f195/500tops/DyaneCotedazur13-04-2006003.jpg[/IMG]Now: Although i've taken a fair few inches (read feet) out of the ride height it 's not too savage i.e. it still rides pretty well & the Chassis doesn't scrape..... yet! May still wind it down a tad, see how it goes!` $h1te loads of things to do, namely finding a pair of BX GTi front seats to replace the haggered deck chairs it's currently fitted with! Being a Dyane it has a high compression version of the 2cv engine, meaning it pushes out an awesome 33 BHP rather than the 29 for the tin snail. It actually goes quite well on a run, had it up to 85 on the level last week Plans: try n track down an Ami super front anti roll bar, a lightened flywheel and a big bore kit. Watch this space.......

I like it, i like it!! Funnily enough i was looking around for a Renault 4 a while back. I found a website for them, very interesting, the Renault 5 lump will fit and in Columbia they race them. Ive seen some pics, they really look the nuts!! I think i read an article a long while back about someone with a Dyane who had dropped in an Ami engine, it was said to be a genuine 100mph car. Thats if you have the balls to do 100mph in one............. The more i visit this site the more i love it, the individuality and the ingenuity is brilliant.

Thanks for the comments guys, i know it's not everyones cuppa tea, that's why i like it! I like it, i like it!! Funnily enough i was looking around for a Renault 4 a while back. Yeah Rob, a lot of engine transplants have happened down the years, in the late 80's early 90's a lot of 2cv's & dyanes were converted to either 1015cc Ami super lumps or GS/GSA motors which were up to 1299cc, some even had 5 speed boxes, i had the pleasure of riding in a 'sidewinder' 1299 converted 2cv back in 1994, it was running twin webbers & a 5 speeder - didn't it fuggin fly!!! A truly awesome bit of kit that looked pretty much standard ;D The 2cv's used in the James Bond film 'For your eyes only' were fitted with 1015cc flat 4 Ami super/GS motors

Everything just looks right on there, especially at its new ride height.
