Morning
Only last week did i become an ebay seller.
So anyway, somebody's asked me if i'll post to USA. In theory i don't have a problem, but how do i go about it, has anyone posted stuff to america before?
It's a metro turbo fuel pressure regulator, so it doesn't weigh all that much (<1kg)

Select a courier and ring them, that's it really.
Try:
UPS DHL TNT Parcel Force
They'll all give you a quote for International shipping.

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

They have metros in America? Two things to watch out for - 1 is that he's not just a joker bidding on stuff with no intention of buying. Generally speaking if his feedback is positive (i.e. 1 or more) then he's ok - also you seem to have spoken to him which always helps. second is that he's not out to scam you with the old nigerian double-shuffle. accept payment only via paypal, and transfer it into your bank account before posting anything. don't accept personal cheque or any kind of bank transfer from abroad, chances are the money will vanish one day. thinking about it they do have metros in the states... but it's a different car with the same name (is it a Geo Metro?). so he might have bought the wrong thing anyway but hey - that's his problem assuming you advertised it right! as for getting it there, i've always found our dear home-grown Royal Mail the most reliable for international shipping... i sent a 2kg mobile phone to Turkey, the plank who bought it gave a partial address but it came back to me ok, their customer service people were lovely. Go on www.royalmail.com and you can check prices for international stuff.

I've sold quite a few bits and bobs (including car parts) overseas. Post office is by far the easiest and cheapest way for something small-ish. Just take it down there....you have to fill in a sticker that goes on the outside for customs purposes describing what's inside. It doesn't cost very much to send overseas this way - just make sure that the postage you've charged covers it! Oh, and if he's bought it then it's his problem really if it's the wrong part. If in doubt he should have asked a question. Delivery is normally 4-5 days to USA. HTH!

Just tell him you're happy to post it. But the postage cost is £500. He'll soon stop being a curse word then. There really are some morons out there, though. Last week I sold my old freezer. I said I'd quite happily deliver it for £1 per mile. Some muppet wanted me to deliver it to Exeter if he won. Do they not have "comet" or "curry's" in the west country then In the end I flogged it to a German chap who lived in Cambridge (although he had a .de account which gave me a mild feeling of panic at the end of the auction! ;D)

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum
