Hi Guys,
Thought I'd share with you a picture showing my car in its early stages of the rebuild. The car is a 1962 Rochdale Olympic. These were a British built fibreglass car mostly produced in kit form. Only approx 200 were built and there are now about 30 left on the road. Mine is going through some serious modifications. The car is now running on BMW E30 suspension and rear axle with LSD. The wheels are 16" Image split rims and this has all meant some serious body mods are needed. The picture shows the moulds for the new arches being mocked up. Once the body is finished and painted it will then be fitted with the K series I have. This is tuned to approx 170bhp and mated to a rocket type Ford type 9 box. The car will only weigh about 700kgs all in so it should fly - who knows though! The exciting thing is it is almost a blank canvas for the details, designing my own dials and trying to decide on interior fittings at moment.
If anyone thinks it looks cool I'll post more pics as the build gets going.
Cheers
Al
