Heres my new ride. Its a 1973 Hillman Avenger Tiger Fitted with a 1600 sunbeam Ti engine with some sort of Sprint/fast road cam, Twin 40s and a K&N filter. According to 104ZS's contact at the DVLA, there are only 12 Tigers lefts, so mods will be kept subtle and reversible. The front seats will be the first in the bin as the original Restalls have long since gone and have been replaced with GL seats. I might change the wheels ive I can get something suitable.

Wheels have got to be something black with polished details in my opinion - Exacton perhaps? That's apparently what Bernard Unett used on the racers of the time. Revolutions instead?

That's an absolutely gorgeous car! I didn't realise that genuine ones ere so rare :-( I might change the wheels ive I can get something suitable. What's the wheel size and pcd? It would look so cool on retro rims instead - something tasty like Cosmics :-)

Fantastic ride. ;D ;D I love avengers. My brother in law has two avengers. A yellow mk2 chrysler avenger rally car with my old 4age engine. And also a mk1 Hillman avenger historic rally car in works colours.

I'm so jealous, I've wanted one of those long time. I just recently missed out on one because I was iffing about and counting my pennies! The sums didn't add up :-( Nevermind, new project on the way soon.
Exactions as fitted to the later Tigers, or possibly 7x13" superlights and a healthy slamming. Never mind what the purists say ;-)

I like that! Nice car. Would change the wheels tho.... I would stick with minilites maybe a bit wider though. 180X60X13`s work well for handling but going to 205`s look better

That must be a terrifying car to drive, seeing as there is ony 12 of them surviving! still, it would be wrong to deny it of tarmac! ;D
Good choice!

That looks really really nice - I love the yellow & black colour scheme & the graphics - very 70s I must admit I'm rather clueless as to the history of these cars. Was the Tiger built as a homologation special for race/rallying? What was the original engine? And how did/does it compare to an Escort RS of the same era (as they must have been in direct competition for sales) Shame the Minis gone though - was one of my favourites
