Thought i'd post some latest pics of the MG showing some of the recent improvements, Its been hit with a lowering stick and is now chrome bumper height, well it will be once the rear springs have settled!! i've been told it can take a couple of thousands for them to settle properly. I've also added the front LE special edition spoiler and i really happy with how its improved the look of the front end. Just that bloody horrible numberplate i've been running without a number plate for the last few months but had to stick it there for the mot. Lose it or keep it? do you think it looks okay there?

No it looks terrible (the 'plate that is, nice MGB). Give Autoreg a ring and ask for a pair of 'plates in 'Old BS style writing'. They'll be the same font as they would've been back in '78, £21.99 delivered and will come with a 'for show use only' sticker on them. Peel it off, slap 'em on and you'll be in business.

How about a stick on number plate , on the main horizontal part of the bumper (ie level with the indicators)?

Forgot to comment on the position - I also think it should be moved between the indicators, but perhaps not a stick-on plate. If you're gonna get one of those you might as well put it on the bonnet.

I've held the plate on the bumper and it slightly bigger height wise than the bumper so looks a bit funny imho unless i could get one made thats a slightly smaller size height wise so it finishes flush with the bumper, you can see where it used to be in my sig but now that spoiler is on i can't use the old brackets without cutting the spoiler which i don't want to do.
I'll have a play tomorrow as i have plenty of double sided tape lol, will take a pic of it on the bumper....

Plate looks OK to me, is it in the middle though?
Location-wise, i reckon its a good spot down under the bumper there, should make it very hard for those fugging clever-tw*t specs cameras to see it.

Yeah it is slightly off centre, like i say just had to bodge it there to keep the mot man happy. I've not had a go at moving it today because the weather's curse word. But will post a pic once its dry....

I've just fitted chrome bumper suspension for the lowered ride height as above. The difference in handling is amazing its made such a difference just lowering it to chrome bumper height. I've got a few things to sort out now after that trackday, found out my petrol tank is leaking onto my back box :oand i've knackered up my passenger side rear shock absorber as its now leaking but i did put it under alot of stress as you can see in that rear pic! BGTMIDGET7476 - are you not tempted to do a track day?

I do my trackdays through www.mgs-on-track.comThe track above is Donington and it cost £60 for three 20 minute sessions (£1 a minute) and its worth every penny! Only trouble is it gets a bit addictive!
