First post on the forum so hello to all Been into and owned Skylines (newer ones) for a few years now but always fancied something with a bit more retro coolness . This came up in a J auction last year whilst I was looking for an R30 or R31 and I had to have it. Fairly standard at the moment (only 200 GTS Autech's ever made) except for an aftermarket exhaust (Fujitsubo I think), dodgy atmospheric dump valve (not fitted by me I hasten to add) and an HKS pod filter. The car came with Rays split rims and they'll get refurbed soon, but I managed to pick up the BBS RS split rims (as shown in the last pic) for a damned good price and they keep with the 80's look. Nice to find a forum dedicated to modified retro motors so hope to settle in and enjoy this place for a while to come

Hi, sweet motor. I assume that it has a RB25DET powering it? Very nice choice of retro car and well cool. This must make the R32/33/34 boys very jealous indeed ;D

It's actually got an RB20DET motor, pretty much standard too. Out of curiosity I put it on a set of Dyno Dynamics rollers and it pushed out 193.7bhp at the rear wheels. Was up at Bruntingthorpe last week and it pulled over 155mph on the clock. Not sure how accurate the speedo is at the top end but it surprised me none the less Some of the R32/R33/R34 boys love it (I've got an R33 aswell) but quite a few wouldn't be able to distinguish it from a Bluebird I guess. I suppose that's part of the appeal though, no-one on the street seems to know what the heck it is ;D

Welcome to the board skylineguv Thats a very cool & suitably retro car you have there You can certainly see the bloodline with the later cars with those rear lights and the shape of the rear side windows. What is the specs on it, i'm fairly familiar with the cars R32 onwards but know little/nothing about the R31 - is it 4wd, 6 cylinder, turbo etc etc? Also yours is a GTS - as with the later models did they do a GTR in the R31 shape?
