This is pretty much as I got her, slammed 80mm front and rear on T3D shocks, cut front springs and BMW E30 cabrio rear uprated and lowered items. it's proper low. Modifications to date include, the addition of merc 14" 5.5j slotted steels, with 195/70 Rear Woosung radials, and 175/70 Goodyear GT2's up front, pics to follow. The addition of a decent stereo, nothing too loud, just a 12" Bolt Lighting sub, 2 Fusion 6x9's and a shark 1000w amp with a JVC CD/Tuner head unit (remember it's a big van with a lot of space to fill sound wise). Engine is a stock 1915cc WBX unit, getting a bit tired now, added a weber carb and electric fuel pump, but thats it, hooked to a 5 speed VW transmission. And I've added a monster tach (just a cheap one), so I can keep an eye on my revs. The van pulls ok up to about 80mph, then runs out of steam, cruises best at 65-70mph. Future plans, well, I'm looking to go subaru power, just cos it makes sence, better fuel economy, more torque and more power. And the installation of a 2nd battery and split charge to prevent flat batteries when enjoying the audio. Otherwise, keep it low and ratty.

After some running in, I've decided that this little 1915cc unit packs a fair punch.
bouncing the limmiter in 5th doing 90?, suit you sir!!!
Thing is pickup was a little slow, I'm putting a new limiter in soon, planing a weber again, once I've refurbed it (as my insurance is for the webered van!), some ratio rockers, and a decent exhaust.
Yesterday I had some free time, so mounted a Green Cotton air filter behind the rear light, wich is where the cold air feed goes from the rear pillar vents, now she's a little lumpy when cold, but it makes a glorious noise and goes like stink.
sucess.
Pics soon.

I'm not bothered about the cold running, as I usually just tear the thing about, and it's warm by the time I get halfway to work

Funny that, my van is puppy's old parts chaser, and the suspension kit development wagon . I couldn't change the colour, brown is so cool, it's the new black don't you know. Plans are to weld up any holes, keep it solid, and body wise ratty as hell, just because I can, and work on the motor, there is something special about sitting on peoples behind at 90 in this beast, that I just can't explain...... (on a test track you understand )
