I got the rachet, impact gun, spot balster and the nailer. I bought the compressor from Netto about 3 months ago. Very similar except this had a 50ltr tank and was about £49. Anyway, just got to get a hose now. From what I have read so far, I take it that the yellow, coiled jobbies in the Machine mart catalogue aren't up to scratch then and I will need one of the 8mm ones? I mainly want to use the rachet and the impact gun on my splitty.

Bought the impact gun, die grinder and a bottle of air tool oil yesterday, for work... I bought the air ratchet last time they had them. A word of warning, the U/J supplied with the ratchet flew apart the first time I used it... Don't forget you can take the stuff back within 30 days if you're not happy...

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

I bought the impact gun and the die grinder on Thursday and it hasn't stopped raining since so I've yet to test them.

I planned to stick the new wheels on the Primera this morning and give the impact gun a try but one of the tyres has some bad cracks on the sidwall so I decided to sort that first. I did give it a go on SWMBO's Volvo wheel nuts and it worked a treat.
I gave the grinder a quick go on a seriously manky old caliper carrier and it was excellent. The stones don't seem very hard wearing though.

a bit of feedback on the tools.
i bought the reversable 3/8" drill (£10) and the saw, (£23)
i was running them at 110-ish psi from a hulk of a 170L compressor thats considerably older than i am!! i was using 10mm int. dia. hose, about 5 metres of it.
the drill is great, i swapped on a proper connector, liberally oiled it, then gave it a go. even the drill bits that came with it are pretty good, which suprised me as they're usually made of an alloy of toffee and steel. they went straight through 1/8" steel no problems. ive not tried the screwdriver bits yet.
the saw is also ok, when it works it cuts well, but it does get through a lot of air, more than it should do. the trigger is a bit sticky even after a lot of lube. id had to pull the trigger down and then push the end of the blade onto something to get it going. the whole thing generally feels a bit tight/stiff. the best thing is that they use half hacksaw blades, so replacements are cheap/free. hopefully the trigger will free up a bit with use.

Forgive me \Father for I have sinned.... AGAIN !! Went back for this one today. Now need to make a stand for it, or pick a skipped table etc up to make a stand for it. One of those tools , not used every day, but handy when you need it. Wanted one for a long time.

The compressor package is the same one as i got from Aldi last year, except the tank on mine is yellow. Have been really happy with mine sofar, the only issue i've had with it is the paper/plastic gauge in the air inflator line has come adrift which makes it a bit hard to use i picked up the Reversable Air Wrench and the small Die Grinder kit from Aldi in Selly Oak Birmingham on Saturday and they had a fair amount of stuff still in, including the bandsaws and benchgrinders.. at a guess it's because selly oak is a student slum and most of them aren't into serious airtools

Has anybody used the bandsaw much? I am getting fed up of trying to jigsaw through 3mm steel plate /5mm ali and wondered if the bandsaw would be better then my crappy jigsaw (to be fair it does to well considering it was super dooper cheap and 3mm steel is quite hard to cut.)
