Yep! I've got:
* rear brakes to adjust * Front suspension top mounts to replace * Alternator belt to replace * Reversing lamps (or lack of) to fix
and loads of other small jobs! It's too cold out there though so the Golf will have to wait...

I have an engine change to do, I still have to fit the rollcage in the Imp, and I have a firbreglass bonnet I wanted to fit before the end of the holidays. But I done my ankle in (again) the other night so I can't be bothered walking around on it. That and it's cold out there! ;D ;D So like yourself I'm at the computer, and I'm sitting drinking tea, and listening to Rage Against the Machine much louder than is medically advised. I did change the plugs points and condenser at the start of the holidays! And I cleaned out the garage and got the Imp back in it (the damp in the garden does it no favours! )

I haven't got much car related gubbins to do, bar polishing and I'm feeling to lazy for that.
There's loads of DIY round the house to do but I'm trying to avoid doing that too!
The "other half" is at work today, so I'm on parent patrol today. The offspring is having his nap right now, but in about 10mins it will be back to crayons / sticklebricks / fingerpainting etc for me anyway!

Lots to do..... The Sprite needs a new exhaust (hole the size of my fist in the silencer), & the main pipe has been damaged by a speed bump Makes a really nice noise though - sounds much better than any MaxPowered hatchback ;D Also a new tonneau cover, oil pressure / water temp guage, radiator (the header is badly perforated), clutch (slips really badly when changing up at about 6500 / 7000rpm but otherwise not that noticeable) etc .... The Amazon needs a wash - as if I could be bothered.... No idea when I'm going to do any of it, other than the oil / water guage (on order) and the tonneau (would also be on order, but AH Spares is closed until after New Year). ;D

I could do with performing an engine swap on my Golf,.. just need a few things first,.. an engine, an engine hoist, a garage to work in, and finally the knowledge of how to do it.

Darren ,.. TSR performance do a complete fitment of a 1.8T engine for £6,250 I know I'm sure it can be done for a lot less... I'm unsure whether to turbo my current 1.8 16v lump or go down the 1.8T route at the moment. Of course, I can't actually do either right now, but once my finances are sorted...

~sigh~ The points on that ****ing Viva have closed up again. Can I be *rsed to fiddle with the dissy cap? In another life maybe...there's gossiping & surfing & car pornography that takes precedence. Luckily--I have a home car wash --Richy --& he's out there,as I type with his long lance & his little sponge buffing for all he's worth!

wanna buy an Audi 20v engine? £750 and it's yours, comes with a car wrapped around it though Darren... was at the petrol station yesterday, noticed a nice Red Mk2 GTi, all looked really standard - till he jumped in and drove off. It was wet which explains the wheelspin in first, then i suppose in second too. Then it span in third, and fourth. all the time with a lovely meaty wastegate chuff and the whine of a houseboat-sized turbocharger.... MMMMMMMM nice Loads of old gimmers stood around shaking their heads and i'm thinking to myself "go on son.... harder"

Well... My BX needs new tie rod ends, wheel alignment, LHM (=green citroen fluid) replacement plus a couple of leaking LHM hoses to replace, some minor electrical problems to solve...
Oh well... Maybe tomorrow...

Not got a car at the moment but sure there are always things I *could* be doing instead of browsing the internerd. Speaking of which, anyone want to give me a new job? IT monkey, can do anything, damn good at everything I try ( ). Trained by Microsoft, HP and BT, can do everything from tech support to training, team management to project management.... *n

I still have stuff to do on the Nymph. I remember thinking it would be ready for the Retro cars show and that was 6 months ago! Hopefully taking it up to Scotland in April so it better be ready by then.
After the Nymphs finished its time to start stripping the Stiletto.
