That's rather a rod styled hebmüller aka the hebrod. Features a ford axle in front.
Doesn't an extender cause the same issues like a pie cut?
Or does screwing versus welding make the difference?

Earlier long bonnets are slightly more pointy . Pre ‘67 should be the long bonnet . Early Late

looks like the frame head is pretty knackered Yeah, what he said. I'd be having a proper poke around the bottom plate of the framehead, back to where the pedals fit onto the tunnel, before you get too ahead of yourself. I can see there's a chunk missing or at least bent at the front. It's pretty easy to see if the beam is bent once it's stripped a bit and resting flat on the floor.

redratbike horridoYes it's all pretty knackered, it's only going on as a mock up. I've spotted a complete floor pan/chassis etc for £450 so the plan is that at the minute, funds permitting

Had my first go at welding on it yesterday. Took a cut from a Toyota Landcruiser wing out of the scrap pile, cut to shape to fill in the petrol flap hole.

I'm happy with a couple of the welds. Gonna keep practicing though
