Haha I’m not really about that life seen as the last set of wheels cost me £2k 🤣  these will be of no interest then I think unless I do get some dinky cool wheels I’d rather just keep it stock and use it. Second I start modding it the second I’ll start to care more than just using it |

I'm saying 100% you will modify it. Great little cars, headlights have come up a treat as well.
If it was mine though the cherry blossom would be straight on those bumpers!

Hahaha I hope to be proved wrong mate but I’m a liability for leaving stuff alone too 😂 I thought about conventional bumper blacks, they look great but always seem to leave a residue which makes washing the car the next time a bit of a song and dance |

Not much to report, got the strut brace ends back from the powder coated, finish is mint so I’ll deffo be using them again. Just the hardware to get back from the platers and it can get fitted.    cheers! |

Picked the bolts up today from having them nickel plated to get rid of the rust and pitted chrome. Turned out very nice even though it’s on the more expensive side than the usual yellow chromate coating.  Ceramic coated it all to keep it nice and then loosely assembled it. Don’t think the end product turned out bad for sub £80 all in including a the brace itself.   Here’s a reminder of how it all looked before  Cheers! |

Only a mini update, in an oversight I realized that I didn’t have any locking nuts for the strut brace to stop the top tube from wobbling about. Got the verniers out and worked out what the thread pitch was, worked out at M14x1.5, quick google and luckily it seems most adjustable Motorsport arms come with left and right hand nuts in these sizes. Next day deliver from Merlin Motorsport and we’re golden, means I can throw it on tomorrow so I’ve got something to do.  Thanks! |

So fitting the strut brace didn’t really go to plan.    Can see it doesn’t clear the OEM fuel pipes and I’m not messing about playing games changing it all out for aftermarket stuff. I’ve ordered another one that’s a little more robust and a lot wider anyway so I’m hoping if I run into the same problem with that I can at least cut and notch the brace there then box it back in again. I think the cheaper ones are like that from looking now, I flogged it to a guy with an SR20 in his 300zx so should clear that easily. Decided to try again with another style thatre more expensive and difficult to get hold of but should fit better!  Once I know it fits I’ll re finish it more like the bottom other color they offered.  Cheers! |

Yeah haha they’re not know for their fit and finish unfortunately, glad I managed to turn it around and make it better than any factory car would ever look 🙏🏻 Let me know if you want the yaris sorting! Best you spend the extra on the gaff first for sure! |
