Sweet, looks a tight fit! Still waiting for lows and rims to appear on the Yaris... 🤣 It’s a very tight fit! But fitting is fitting IMO the last one was the wrong end of being a tight fit haha! They’re hard to get proper ones to fit I’ve found after I bought the first one

Also on a random Facebook marketplace browse managed to find this NOS raid super snap off. I’ve had loads in the past but prices have skyrocketed. I was a bit narked after my snap off from Murray Motorsport never turned up and was begrudgingly going to buy another after Christmas (they’re £200 after import 🤢). Managed to find this one cheap so I’m dead chuffed with that. more to come when the refresh kit for the nardi comes but I’ll get this chucked on in the meantime. cheers!

I think I’ve had one on all my cars since my last mk2 golf, and exactly haha I’ve only just moved from Gleadless, it’s actually definitely more of a security thing that a show off thing and always has been for me!

I don't get why they don't make them anymore They do mate, murray Motorsport sell the snap off brand ones thatre exactly the same premise, they’re £180ish all in with the spacer and horn adapter. I ordered one earlier this year but after waiting 13/14 weeks I sacked them off cause they were as useless as a chocolate fireguards at updates. Especially when the maker (actual snap off the company, based in Sweden) emailed me back the day after I cancelled my order and said they’d send the last batch that was out standing to murray Motorsports 3 weeks earlier 🤦🏻♂️

Bit of progress tonight on the steering wheel restoration front. I always like to keep an eye out for products thatre meant to be half decent so I did some reading and ended up buying a colourlock steering wheel refresh kit. Took a little while to get here but turned up this am. First step is to clean the wheel and this one is absolutely minging 🤢🤮 turns out it was actually a lot of dirt that I thought were blistering. Next steps were to sand any loose bits, I tried my best to feather the edges in on some pretty substantial scratches and marks, then went over the rest of the wheel with 1200 grit on the side of causing to key it a little. I’ll stick this picture in to remind of what it was like before. Then after the re-dye There are two more steps left over the next 2 sets of 24hrs, one is a product called elephant fat that goes on the rejuvenate the leather as much as possible once the dye has had 24hrs to fully cure, the next after that is a leather shield sealant to keep it all in and protected 24hrs after that. I’ll stick a picture up once it’s fully finished even just to show people how good the full kit is but I’m pretty chuffed so far. Thanks!

Nice job there, I wasn't even aware there was a steering wheel specific kit available, Nigel
