Dropped the car off at the body shop Monday and thought I would share some progress pics. Here you can see how far off the new wheels were with a tyre fitted to them. And how much they had to be manipulated and pulled to get the wheels to tuck under on full compression. They were done as neatly as possible but still needed a lick of filler/glaze to get them mint which is understandable. There was a little bit of an old repair on the passenger side that was tidied up in the process and then the insides were cleaned and sealed up so no curse word can get in. Outsides now primed and ready for paint along with the inner arches for a little more protection. Should hopefully be painted Monday all being well but I’m chuffed with the pictures and progress that’s been made so far. Proofs in the pudding so we’ll see what it looks like once It’s been painted 🙏🏻 Cheers!

Only managed to get a few pictures in between the torrential rain we’ve had but the wheels are finally on. Popped the Centre caps in too! Just waiting on the stickers to be done for the middle now! Cheers!

I was really impressed myself how well they look, hard work when you think something will look a certain way then you stick it on the car

Spent a little bit of time tying up some loose ends today. Having only had time to look around the car properly it’s been a bit of a bitter sweet experience with the body work. The finish is nice for the money it’s just a few of the parts they look off the car have come back damaged and overall slopiness of the communication has left a lot to be desired. The passenger side wheel rubbed last night on something which with how i felt I thought just added the last bit of insult to injury but luckily it looks like it’s the back bumper on full compression with the wheels being that low an offset. Today I checked that out and also finally sprayed some ACF50 on the rear coilovers while I was in there to give them some protection over the winter. Also then spent some time fitting some bits and curse word. A rear side bumper marker that was cracked in half and some clear wing markers that needed some new notches filing because they’re weren’t the same as the stock ones. To finish here’s one that my other half took from her car on the way home. Till next time!

Went to to local cars and coffee that I’d never been to before nearby in Rotherham, it was hosted by a paint shop and I’ve got to say the quality of car they’d done was absolutely unreal by what they had by the entrance and inside so definitely one to look out for in the future. Only took the two pics next to my mates SR20 swapped Datsun pickup and other mates 1.9 swapped E30 with cams and independent throttle bodies. The car was deffo in decent company. Then went to my nephews birthday party and ended up looking round my cousins fiancés new V12 DB11 which was a proper motor and sounded beautiful when he started it up. Got my brother to go out and take some fancier pictures on my phone and edit them on here too because that’s his trade (he’s a commercial advertising photographer) so I’ll pop those up too. Thanks!
