This is my 1994 Fiat Panda, I've owned it since 2010, it's been family owned since new. I've been restoring/modifying it for the last 8 years and it's finally getting an MOT this month (fingers crossed) I'll add some pictures of how its started out, and how it looks now. modifications. engine swapped to 1108 8v from a Siecento Sporting 866 Cam 40 mm throttle body raised suspension turrets custom coilovers deleted side repeaters 14 x 5.5J MIM alloys as far as I'm aware its one of only 3 left in this colour, i have more build pics on my insta _chris_wds_

Cool A very unusual version of a Giorgetto Giugiaro design.

Love the colour. Why'd you delete the side repeaters?

Wow, your car brings some memories up. I bought my very first brand new car in 1992. A green metallic Fiat Panda Selecta. I got it delivered with some great looking Borbet wheels, sunroof similar to yours, Philips radio cassette player!! and some other stuff. It was a beautiful little car.
I love yours. It looks great

You have done a great job on this well done! Engine bay looks amazing and I loved the raised Turrets.
Body coloured center cap stickers for the wheels would finish this off lovely. Each to their own though.

Love the colour. Why'd you delete the side repeaters? He wants an argument with an on-the-ball MOT inspector every year? Looks good though - like the fact its still got proper colour lights everywhere else. Maybe take a look at Muth Signal Mirrors and take inspiration to avoid the MOT issue?

I just didn't really like the standard ones and was fixing rust in that area, so just killed two birds with one stone, the front indicators are visible from the side so in "theory" i should be ok, but I've left connectors in place should i have to put something in place for the mot.

This is an awesome little thing, wheels and lows is always a win. Would be great to see more details on the build.
The engine swap seems an interesting choice.

Thanks, the engine swap was just a straight swap, the car was originally 999cc (45bhp) i swapped it to the 1108 (56bhp) with a chipped ecu, hot cam and bigger throttle body so should have 60+ bhp, for a 630kg car its alot of fun.

Lovely little thing. Had a hire one that me and the missus spent a week touring round Wales in for our honeymoon back in the 80's so have always had a soft spot for them.

I had the poverty spec 750cc, no sunroof or, as far as I can remember, surprise and delight features. It was an upgrade from my Fiat 126 and in comparison much more comfortable. Seats still gave me a bad back. Funnily enough though, the 750cc engine never felt inadequate. No fast but not a slug either.
Thinking about it, the '90s are like the dark ages when it comes to pictures, I have almost nothing from back then.
Genius design. The l/h and r/h window glass are flat and not handed. Similarly the back and front glass were completely flat. I wouldn't have thought about it but having had a break in I was shocked how cheap a new piece of window glass was. Something like £11 new from Fiat because it's just a piece of flat toughened glass.
