So I went and bought a thing... Wanted a barge to drop and mooch around in; was expecting to get an old Merc or BMW yet here we are... Current plans are basically wheels and lows, although the lad wants me to make a Shane Lynch replica... Some work to get her roadworthy first and a workshop mid-build as well, no rest for the wicked! Get the wheels made into splits and hammer the car closer to the ground and straight pipe the exhaust.

Get the wheels made into splits and hammer the car closer to the ground and straight pipe the exhaust. Initial plan was to band the steels and delete/modify the hydraulics. Straight pipe ‘might’ not pass the wife test, but I might fit a side exit cutout...

Some ideas if you're feeling adventurous. These have an oddball stud pattern AFAIR, so wheels might be a pain.

Bear in mind that there isn't a brake master cylinder, and the brake pedal just controls a valve in the high pressure hydralic system to operate the brakes. All the manuals can be found here: rrtechnical.info/sy/04_sy.html& heritage.bentleymotors.com/en

One of the reasons I agreed to a Rolls was the sheer amount of technical information freely available on t’internet. Such as the use of 3/16” ball bearings to seal off the rear hydraulic rams 😉

That looks interesting. If the original stuff displeases you, delete it.

every time I've looked as at a Shadow hydraulic system I just think WHY?
I guess the answer is because they could.
Almost any Modern van (such as a Transit) weighs more and has equal if not better but very simple brakes, If you can fit something like that and junk all the original stuff you should have something pretty cheap and easy to maintain.

A local guy had the complete suspension, engine & gearbox out of a Camaro put in his Rolls. I never saw it, but I heard about it because some of the Rolls Royce parts ended up on a buddies Hot Rod...

This one ran the Paris Dakar. don't know if this gets used off road. And if this was BRG, it could have been Steed's other car...
