We all have one!
I found myself on the A1 today. A steady 32mpg and then Hells Bells my Iron Maiden came on. The next time I looked I was in the outside lane at my mpg had dropped to 28!

There are many. Audioslave/Cochise was responsible for splitting a sump wide open on a stacklight merc due to me getting a clean 2 foot of air over a humpback bridge though 😂 Luckily I had a spare 5L in the car and was only about 3 miles From home....

And the sump says "take it out on me!!!" Awesome track! Alice in chains also keeps the revs over 4k!
Maiden isn't my usual choice but it was chosen by spoitfy and through the a Volvo stereo was sublime!
I also have a strange affliction with period 90's music... in a 90s car! Just feels right blasting past the moderns in their white goods listening to chart dross.

Motorhead's Ace of Spades always makes me drive faster. Whereas Chicane's Eglise makes me calm back down again.
I often find myself singing (badly) to Lissie and a whole host of 80s tracks. I have an eclectic taste in music.

No idea about the mpg difference as I never calculated it for that car, but the guitar solo on the live version of Lynryd Skynryd's Freebird was nearly responsible for engine damage to my Morris Minor. The speed wasn't anything special despite being in top (4th) gear due to the lower diff (it was a van), but the tacho needle was well into the red...

Is hells bells not by AC/DC? It is indeed first track from Back in Black, the first album with Brian Johnson singing, released in 1980 IIRC

I'm the opposite, I've gone from fairly big sound systems in my last few cars that I could happily cruise along in with traffic with the tunes bumping to no music at all and "making progress" constantly. I got overtaken on the motorway for the first time in 7 months the other day and I'm driving a 1.4 Clio that is currently averaging 25mpg according to the computer.

I had a phase where it was Promises by Nero, End Credits by Chase & Status, and the Nero mix of ghosts and stuff by Deadmau5... Putting new speakers in the car at the moment with the design aim to be able to play the live version of Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem relatively loudly, but with clarity. I think it's called growing up. Thunderstruck does get me to put the boot down though

Meanwhile, in opposite world...
I find the rolling looping beat of "Woke up this Morning" by the Alabama Three (probably better known as the theme to The Soprano's) makes me slow to a crawl. Rolling slowly along as it rolls slowly along.
