I love this, I think I had a matchbox model of this truck when I was a pup, Not that long ago, on Holiday in Skiathos, we went down to the famous End of the Runway, where the landing aircraft skim over the fence and your head, Its a Buzz, drove further along that road into the boatyard area where it seems they use Unimogs to drag the boats onto dry land, there were at least 10 in varying states of disrepair, and those were the ones we could see easily, I wonder what useful spares could be reaped from there.

Yea they are super popular in Europe. I was given that very same matchbox toy just the other week haha

I, too, would love to have a Mog. However, my cahunas aren't big enough.

Lovely weekend to be working on cars as i didn't have anything ready for RR Weekender sadly. Mind you the Unimog would take around 6 hours at 35mph haha. With the front arches painted I set about cleaning back the front bumper for paint. I decided to use rust inhibitor and then Buzzweld hard chassis paint although I think the chassis paint has some in anyway. It does look better and the contrast between the patina paintwork on the cab and the black looks quite cool. Whilst I did that, Terry wired up the rear LED lights including resistors for the indicators and brackets to mount them on the rear of the chassis. Next up the roof should be back soon from paint. I need to order rear arches and supports as the rear tyres need to be covered. Paint the wheels black, look at the rear brakes ( I have next to none at the moment) then we really aren't far off being able to drive on the road. I'd previously mentioned about having it re-classed from Agricultural to PLG. Its looking likely that I can have it down as a class 7 but still tax and MOT exempt due to its age. I'm hoping once brakes are sorted I can get the axles weighed to confirm this.

No real update on this at the moment. I've been waiting about 10 weeks for the roof to come ack from paint. Then i need to look at rear brakes and refit the windscreen before it goes up for sale.

My worst worry about dying is my wife selling my stuff for what I told her it cost...

It is looking good.
I do hate to see you having to move it on after all your plans.
Sadly, it might have been easier to sell if you’d not stripped all the working gear off it…

Likewise, sadly I think it would have had much more value as a working agricultural vehicle and be of interest to a lot more people.
