That's a little lovely car, I had a few of the modern S Types (including a 400BHP type R) and they were just great to drive. I now have a 1.4 fiesta, how the mighty are fallen! They really are great cars! The supercharged ones are insane! I had an XJR but it was getting to the point where it needed quite a lot of work and I didn't have the time when I had it. It was so quick, though, and it sounded incredible. That was 400hp too and was absolutely mental! To be fair, I pushed the pedal into the carpet today and she has a considerable turn of speed under her skirt! The V8 sounds tasty at high revs - it'll sound tastier without the two back boxes, though! 😂

As you may have guessed, a deal with the excellent VitesseTony was struck and today - this happened! I bought some stainless tips but they're a little more inboard than I'd like so I may extend them a bit. Anyway - video! I made a before and after 😎

Lovely, as has been said, each journey feels like an occasion, One tip, don't ever start the car for short durations like getting it out of the garage or move it around to wash it and turn it off again. Likely to get bore wash where it will then spin over and not fire up again, Park and ride did this to mine at Gatwick Airport, Was unreliable after that, had to scrap it

What's the least amount of time it should be running for to avoid it? I do have to move cars around at mine as I have a long but narrow drive

A mint set of XK8 Revolvers - bit of an unusual choice but I can see it in the hotrod workshop in my head and it looks good! They're considerably chunkier than the standard wheels. I'll be fitting them tomorrow after I've cleaned them up a bit.

I wondered what wheels you'd gone for when you mentioned it the other day, I've seen these on the X308 before and they do look great in my opinion, your Jaguar is coming along very nicely indeed.

Cheers, Tony! I'm looking forward to fitting them this weekend. I've always thought these wheels have a torque thrust quality to them, but the flat face makes it more suitable for a big saloon than a muscle car or similar. We'll see - that one you've posted looks awesome.
