Looks awesome so far! Can't wait to see it with the high blade in! I used to lust after these so bad! In school my art teacher had a bronze one and it was cooler than penguin curse word!

Thank you dude! The high blade will need a slight mod to make work but should be cool 😊 they’re a pretty car for sure, I am enjoying ownership this time around again!

You're making me want another one now I never planned to get another one but I'm really glad I did! You should do it, the prices are only going up... How does the Noble seat fit? It does lean a little bit but that's partly down to the shape of the seat. It's really comfy as a passenger but will need to have it less reclined for the driver's side when we do that. I could have really done with a bucket seat for Combe, was sliding all over the place haha

Came up with an idea the other day and remembered that I had a set of E46 skirts on an old E36 of mine and that they were pretty much just straight bits of plastic which can be cut about to fit pretty much what you want. I found a chap around the corner from me with some skirts and set about chopping them up to see how they offered up on the Toyota. I initially wanted to try and use the BMW clips so that it was some sort of OEM fitment but turns out the plastic clips were not man enough. I opted to go down the rivnut route with some black allen bolts. They were much more solid and the skirts ended up looking pretty good I think. Much more understated than the off-the-shelf MR2 skirts which I'm not a fan of. Lick of paint and they should be bob on!

No update I'm afraid, been a bit slow of late. I did get a clay bar kit which I put to use, kinda annoyingly, the paintwork isn't actually that bad so the clay only pulled out a few impurities. Sadly I think it does just need some paint here and there which is more expensive than a £25 clay bar kit... Anyways, it's shiny! I've sorta put it up for sale, if you follow my threads you'll know that this is not that surprising... if anyone reading this has anything interesting to trade, hit me up!

If you can afford to fix it, you can’t afford to drift it! The MR2 is nice but just not fast enough for me. I think an E36 will be next on the cards, something 6cyl and RWD is where I want to be.

That's a valid point haha. I'm not the world's biggest bmw fan and price of rusty e36s is going same way as rusty J stuff.. but they look good and make a nice noise. A mate of mine has got a E30 and a 36 compact (lovingly named the cu*ntpac) both with I think the m44 engine in. I've tried to tell him 4 cylinders aren't enough without a turbo buy he's not having it and on about throttle bodies and Christ knows what else..
Il wait for the next thread in readers rides haha

Yeah see what I get next, I’ll do a thread as always haha

Did this end up going in the end? Just read through it and thought it was a cool looking car. Back in the early 00 when I was an apprentice mechanic and had just passed my driving test I used to get one in at work for servicing. It was there were I learned what the term "a handful in the wet" meant!
