bit of an update , a nice bloke on the COE facebook group sent me some photos of the original bonnet catches, I had looked bit never found a decent picture of what they looked like,






So now the truck has some proper catches again

finished some more welding and painting this week and fitted the front anti roll bar mounts to the chassis , printed some wheel spikes and designed up a front centre hub cap thingy. cut up some rubber mat for the running boards to see if it would look ok ?

helped my mate sort out the rear 4 link on his '49 , it is quite amazing what some people class as on the 'road', tractor PTO arms and 12mm bolts in 16mm holes , all out of line and a prop angle off the scale , one tyre touching the inner wheel arch the other rubbing on the outer arch. must of crabbed down the road if the last owner ever did drive it

This is all heading in the right direction!!! Loving the centre caps, i'd have spun the logo the other way around so 'speed shop' is at the bottom and 'Atomman' is at the top though, that might just be how my head reads things though haha

It really is mad what you can find on some classics... My mates 70 F100 has the most insane axle flip on the rear end, no locating pins on the leaf springs and butchered spring perches, the truck crabs down the road! So that's going under the knife to fix very soon!

Been a bit since I've updated this, but I have been doing stuff when I get chance,

been 3D printing more parts , always liked the old style indicators with the hood on them , so designed up some and printed them pout to see what they look like,











need to make a spacer to level out the indicator on the wing next I reckon,


theres been a old Shadow on a drive down the road for 10 years, my mate next door brought it the other day but the Spirit of Ecstasy was missing....




Made this and stuck it on before he got into work last week.




Also been busy putting this back together for a friend , I fixed and rebuilt the engine a few years ago now and he has had the rest of it painted etc , like a big jigsaw but quite fun to do in the evenings.


finished up the the running board and cut the marker lights in it and got them all wired in. welded up the V band I had only tacked on and forgot about from the turbo, may of been why it was running so rich to ? sorted the front anti roll bar with some nice rose joints , front goes up and down now much better and level, fixed the cab mounts to with a spacer coz it had sagged a bit after 60 odd years of use,

getting closer now, may even enter it in deadline area for The Weekender in Goodwood as that my aim as its first show , fingers crossed,

need to pull the engine and box out soon though to go through it and change out the head gaskets for the new version as these are the only thing that tends to go on them and give it all a good clean and paint the bits I cant get to with it in...

only down to 3 TO Do lists now.....
