another piece of the puzzle to get her running yesterday tank is finally done ,worked out just under 100 litres in the end, which should hopefully get me down the road a bit at least, since bonnet gate, when it trapped me the front for 20 mins lol, I haven't put the hinges back on till now , tried the original Ford springs but they don't seem to hold it up , and my hinges have been cut and welded a few times in the past and although you can get replacements for F series trucks, COE's are different, I ended up cutting off the spring mount and using some gas struts I had lying round that were to strong for the locker doors and we have a bonnet that stays up and down

Feel like a real trucker today coz I managed to wire up & plumb in my air horns to the chain above the door , always wanted one ! Also been busy cutting up the rest of the ally chequer plate for the other lockers and added a bit on to the first side for a bit more storage . Filled in the gap, now i know what size the rears tubs are

Come on now... You can't say things like 'wired in the air horns to the chain above the door' and not have photos and more importantly a video to show us?!!

managed to do a bit over the bank holiday , Wire brushed and cleaned up all the back chassis and painted it made all the mounts for the other running board and started it, that side looked weird the other day when i pushed it out side as I'm used to the side with a running board . Took my brake/clutch pedal mech apart and cleaned it all and painted and put it all back together. and made a mount for the servo to , just need to work out the linkage now thinking a parrellagram type so I can adjust the force if needed and repaired the bottom of the other rear wing, so I have somewhere to mount the running board to . # Cut the scaffold boards to fit round the rear tubs , still need to find another on e to fill the last bit of gap though ,

not quite yet, gotta sort a little leak on the oil cooler lines then stick some coolant & fuel in it , just waiting on my friend (who's good with ECU stuff) to come back from holiday & come and help me out with the final engine loom to truck loom bit, Hopefully it won't be to much longer now,
It gonna be a big milestone when it fires up for the first time for sure !

Hello again, Been doing bit in between other things that are going on , made a bit of U section to put back in the rad support panel that had been cut out on the past , oil cooler is plumbed in to now to also I cant remember if i put this up before though , but I made some more front bag mounts that are 60mm longer so the truck doesn't try to go through the floor but goes higher when raised, in now stops about a mm from the floor , so may put the adjustable bump stops back on and then i can wind them down a bit, also fitted my shiny new gas shocks to also been going through the engine to truck loom wiring again ..... I hate wiring lol finally found the write ECU pin out , so been on PAINT , I know high tech !! and have been putting all the colours in to make it easier for me, like a quick reference thing and hopefully help me work it all out quicker.... things are getting ticked off the 'start up' list , not much left on there now !

spent most of the weekend trying to get the engine to start...to no avail , Got fuel but no spark, went back and forth with various wiring diagrams , checking continuity and pins from the ECU , but gave up on Sunday and did some work on the Dodge , today in work i was going through stuff at lunch time and I've missed something !! went down the workshop this evening and there's a hole ... there's a spare plug on the loom, well there's a few lol, but one of them should go to a Hal sensor in this hole at the bottom of the bell housing and take the speed off the flywheel, the one at the front I've been looking at only does the timing , it needs both of these to spark ! ordered one today , turns out if you cross reference the Bentley and Rolls Royce Bosch part number they come on Alfa's and Kia's to for much cheaper, Hopefully now I've found out this I'm a lot nearer to getting it running, spose that's what happens when you take on a project started by someone else ,

This lot turned up friday , think it worked out around £40, the Air pressure transducer was listed wrong on eBay and was only 19.99 which is a lot better than £580+ VAT , the other to bits would of been over £500 each if I got them from a Bentley specialist to , thank god for parts number cross reference websites ! made a temporary bracket out of some bendy thin ally , and now we have spark ! it did fire and chuff some white smoke out but didn't run , then my battery ran out, I now have 2 battery's on charge for the night and the one out of my Z for the morning to have another go, I think there is still some wiring missing or I'm missing something though....maybe also put some water in the rad which then preceded to leak out again lol , found a split shagged O-ring in this pipe . so have ordered some O-rings to sort it, can still run it for a minute if I get it started but wouldn't run it for to long

Hello everyone , since the start up I have been cracking on with doing some other jobs while I wait for the pump seal to arrive, Fixed the broken catch mech on the battery lid , Made a one eyed drunk fighting octopus.... Got some lights fitted in the dash panel, wired up the oil pressure switch and alternator wire, so now it charges the battery also I have been tiding up the engine harness, now I know what works, got some wiring grommets and hole sawed some holes on the truck floor and bulk head to make it look a bit netter, will still have the 2 coils and spark amps on the bulk head under the bonnet but the ECU etc will be hidden under the dash in the cab out the way, Plan is to get the pump off this weekend and rebuild it to stop the leak , then I can fill it with coolant and run the engine a bit longer, had a friend call in and order some bits up to make the power steering lines so that should sort them, I do have Bentley prop shaft so may cut that and extend it to the right length and test the air ride up and down to double check all the pinion angles are good before I can one made, The list is a lot shorter now -Run brake hard lines, measure front flexis and order them up -Sort Prop and get it made -Sort steering, fit new hoses and finish off steering rack mounts - throw some paint on the bed.. -Test drive sounds easy when I write it down like that ! lol I sure there's more than a few things I have left off that list , looker doors on other side etc , but we all want to see the test drive don't we ? I can sort the other bits after that
