I now have 2 sets of front arms , added a little gusset in the top arms , the bottoms will have the bag plate welded to them , so that will triangulate them, I also made some lock nuts for the arms , I cant wait to get the other side on and test it out now!

Big grin.
Simple.
Weirdly, gussetted items are prettier, but I prefer the braced ones.
LOOOOOVE The table.

the Siegmund table is a god send when welding up the arms and bits, wish I had one in my workshop at home . Was looking at the brake servo last night and scratching my head so made some rough measurements and came up with these today . put them together and you get this photos.app.goo.gl/XRw1e7uWt4qMKyAG6think i may need to shorten the rod a bit on the Iveco servo and tweak a little but its almost there an lets me run the servo at 90 and get it to fit in there, I didn't want to just stick it on the firewall coz that looks curse word IMHO

Today was a good day , down the workshop by 7am to crack on with the truck , Got both sides on and the bag mounts to ,they will be fully welded when I know it all works and the final height it set, then I stuck the front wings and front rad panel back on to test it all out , Well it kin low I couldn't get the jack out Got the jack out but it sits a bit loop sided coz I have a 225/75-16 on on side an a 195-16 on the other rim , but I have now ordered another 225 before I make some adjustments, Its a bit lower than I planned but nothing a spacer between the back and bracket wont sort out hopefully, or even a bigger offset on the bag bracket its self , will have to wait till i get the new tyre on though to get it all set right , Pretty DAM happy with how it looks though !!

this week i made a quick puller for the steering wheel as my mate painted the new one up for me , the OG wheel did not move when i tried to shift it before but left the puller on for an hour and with a couple of taps it finally came off. Got some more 8mm nylon tube and got the back suspension plumbed in for now so i can get the back up and down to to workout where to mount the rear wings and got another 225/65-16 tyre mounted on the other front rim now and made a couple of spacers to try on the front this weekend , I ordered up a few length's of 40mm box, tube and angle to make a start on the bed to, I have some spare sheet steel so may just make a pick up bed with this for now so the chassis is covered with something to test it all out, As always ideas change and I still want to do the ally airstream camper pod but have been playing aourd and drawing up some other ideas to......

Here is a radical idea (That is a joke)
Would there be anything around the UK that would give you an older looking, and soft shaped cabin to load on the back.
In the extreme, imagine plonking an Airstream on the rear.
I love American Horse/Livestock trailers.
They are usually metal, rounded, and a basic preformed shape.
Then buy a used 6 berth caravan and transfer.
I suspect it is more work, but within your ability.

There are a few ideas. I seem to think one of the importing guys on FB possibly ViscountVince may have brought in a trailer before. Something like this. Ending up like this…….. Sorry, I had a picture of the rear end of one as well. Took a while to update atommanBut you will get the idea if you ask Google Images for “Small American Livestock trailer” PS: Obviously you only have a short-ish space to work with, and a set width, but I hope you find something mind blowing.

I have always wanted an airstream on the back of a COE since I saw one as a kid , unfortunately over here they are big bucks, but I could make one . I worked out i would need around £750 odd for the ally sheets to start , I have looked at a lot of 50's British caravans and stuff but they all seem to small and not curvy enough if you know what i mean, I have the Dodge RV for now to go away in so a bed on the COE will be the first step and the capacity to carry me 240z, when its all going and shaken down I will prob sell the Dodge and that will give me the cash to build the airstream, if your on insta have a look @thedinnerliner cool UK COE with a RaD build on the back

Mainly coming up with a plan for the bed today , used a string line to get the back arch in the right place and tacked it there with some bits of box , so I could fill the gap , started with some 2" box for the cross sections and some OSB i had lying round to make the bed for now, want to use some old railway sleepers cut down into planks for the real bed , got more metal arriving tomorrow , need to find some latches for the locker boxes on the side to if anyone know where to find them or what they are called ? also this turned up , Which means remote control Up's 'N' Downs

Don't really like the remote control for the air ride, so the plan was to 3D print a pack of cigarette's like Winston or Marlborough and pull the fag out for the aerial, but the dimension's don't really work out but they might just with this hopefully take all the circuit apart and fit it in there to make it all a bit cooler ,

been at a wedding for few days but had a chance to get down the workshop today, got the air res tank out and worked out where its all gonna sit , i plan to have some lockers down the sides of the bed so it will sit in one of those for easy access if needed, put the new shock mounts in place , had planned to mount them in the middle of the arms but wasn't enough room in the end . so they have to live out the back
