Hi,my Morris Minor has been on the road for a couple of years now,but as we all know,never finished.I will put up the photos of the build,so far.
The car has a full tube spaceframe,built by Chris Ludlow who mainly built oval track nation hot rod chassis,has a rebuilt sierra cosworth engine,with H section rods,4x4head with 3angle valves,standard cam shafts,Turbotechnics T35,dark green injectors.Has a motorsport wiring loom,with L8 ECU running wasted spark coil pack.Around 360 BHP.Has a hybrid Mt75,Cosworth 4x4 front casing and internals in sierra 2.0 2wd rear casing.Rear end was built by Andy Robinson,3jd LSD,with heavy duty 18 spline half shafts,5 linked axle fully rose jointed.
Front suspension is based around a Capri hub ,has double tubular wishbones,fully rosejointed.Rides on Gaz adjustable shocks.Escort mk2 steering rack on solid alloy bushes.Brakes are AP5000 calipers with AP rotors on alloy bells,fitted on billet Escort mk2 hub.Rear brakes are sierra 4x4 vented disc.Also have a hydraulic handbrake and a electric solenoid line lock,great for burn out and holding car on start at drag racing.
The car is designed to be flat bottomed,so the gearbox and engine are above the floor level,i have alloy sheet covering the front suspension,so from front bumper to rear axle is completely flat.Will be fitting cover,defuser,at some point under axle to rear bumper.
i used a universal kit car wiring harness,so up to modern spec,relays on everything.Have a Race Technology digi dash hidden in a glove box behind steering wheel,just open up while driving.Dash fully programmable,shows all engine temps,pressures,speed,revs and even what gear I'm in.
