In these uncertain times, we all have been stuck at home, and in the past week I have been looking to my various streaming and disk collection. One of my favourite programs growing up (in the 90s, and now even as a 30-something) on Granada TV, I always tuned in to watch the Professionals. As a bit of a public service announcement, the restored Bluray of the complete series, is, outstanding. Years ago I bought the DVD boxset and its the same as the TV quality that looks like its recorded on VHS! The Bluray is superb and the quality of the original film really shows through! www.amazon.co.uk/Professionals-Complete-Blu-ray-Gordon-Jackson/dp/B083XW5ZY9/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=the+professionals&qid=1585937133&sr=8-1Its expensive, but can be bought in seperate series too. I don't know why, but although after the 1st series they were known for the Capri and RS2000 (and Granada) I was always drawn to the Triumphs. The White Dolly Sprint and various 2000/2500s being driven by the baddies! And the occasional flirt with a TR7, my soft spot!

I got the whole series of the professionals on dvd from Poundland about 10 years ago, there were three of us going through all the cases looking for every disc Think there were about 25 in total, not sure if I still have them! Austin rover wanted all the cars back at the end of each days filming! That’s why they switched to ford and stayed there, they couldn’t guarantee continuity with a different colour car the next day

I watch it most days lockdown or not, as I’m home by 4pm. curse word fact, they put the glass sunroof in the RS as filming inside the car proved too dark

It's also usually available on ITV's online catchup, along with another great series, The Sweeney. I slowly worked my way through both the other year when stuck at home recovering from pneumonia.

Always makes me grin when they go into a pub. They will order say, a pint of Skol & a gin & tonic, 26 & half pence says the barmaid 🤣

I wish i could say it was just in lockdown, being a self employed Musician i see it in the morning a lot Tbh I bought my white/Black roof Capri because of Minder on ITV4. Always seem to see the same episodes. My questions is ... How could they stop so quick in a Capri in the Professionals !! Mine rolls to a stop haha

It's on IT4 twice daily. Love watching it for the motors and locations that I recognise. There was an episode filmed right by my house, albeit 30 years before I lived there.

And watch the Sweeney for the occasional glimpse of the famous MK1 Granada. I remember my brother had a blue one (consul) when I was about 8, 40 years ago😱

I'm currently watching re-runs of The Dukes of Hazzard and my box set of Life On Mars. Plenty of Retro tin in both series!
