^^^like I said, they’re REALLY heavy, and I’m not dragging them best part of a mile back to my house, so they can stay there 😀if course, if anyone wants them I’m happy to give location, and I bet the farmer whose land they’re on would be happy to see them go... Also, funny you should say that mr2fc, my first thought when I saw them was ‘ what could I fit those to?’ That’s how I know how heavy they are..... I might even settle for a skid-steer bobcat loader thing, but no money/nowhere to park it/nowhere to use it all gets in the way. Maybe one day...

I have driven an argocat six wheel, skid steer, and available with tracks, they are amphibious and AWESOME. The company I used to work for had them as toys ( management training) We used to fight over who got to drive them Something else which is out of my budget *** sigh ***

Now look here mr2fc, I don’t need encouragement The really bad thing is that I probably have enough parts lying around here to 95% complete that......, No no no no NO! 😱

I think it’s about time we pulled MkX into this, we were discussing powered barrows and personal transport on another thread Problem solved! 😀

Oh and I should add that after a bit of Orkney SkullSplitter (11.5%) I appear to have purchased a set of plans, what with it being lockdown, and only £6 posted, and...., I hate you lot! 😳🤪

Oh and I should add that after a bit of Orkney SkullSplitter (11.5%) I appear to have purchased a set of plans, what with it being lockdown, and only £6 posted, and...., I hate you lot! 😳🤪 My wife occasionally has reason to shake her head and roll her eyes (TADTS) due to me generally buying with my heart rather than my head, but I might show her this bit of the thread, as I had a JD-fuelled evening but I managed to avoid any purchases at all, let alone plans for a possibly irrelevant, highly impractical Personal Tracked Vehicle recommended by a complete stranger on the Internet! * *...who by the way has no connection with said plans, so I can in no way be blamed by you, or sued by any relatives of yours. Just sayin'

I feel I should also add that when I was googling PTVs, I noticed quite a few of the riders were wearing rucksacks. I have a couple of thoughts about that...
1, simply carrying a jacket and a corned beef sandwich for lunch 2, as a cushion for if you fall over backwards C, an enormous and very complete First Aid Kit 4, a parachute in case of going over a cliff
I think the closer to the bottom of my list, the more likely the reason for wearing a rucksack!

Swombo has given up any pretence of understanding or interest in my online purchases, and just continues with her own I should say that I hold you ENTIRELY to blame for this most recent purchase, due to the fact that I was completely unaware that such vehicles existed until you forced me to follow your lead! The additional matter that I have now wasted £6 on plans for s vehicle that I will most likely never build is also your responsibility Cease and desist Sir!😀 Off to check how much box section steel I have in stock, and whether it’ll support an injected Ford V8 which just happens to be in the garage Don’t you think that engine looks a bit puny and far too safe? 😳

Mate, the only sensible advice from me was carrying a corned beef sandwich!
If you get it done, we need a build thread and demonstration videos...

Another couple of bits, I know one is bike related but just thought I would make a couple of you of a certain age laugh at the Grifter mud guard flap that has obviously been bent to rub against the tyre for that realistic motorbike sound. Come on own up the ones who did this back in the day. Now that brings back memories . Had a 2nd hand Grifter that my dad repainted Red for Christmas one year . Think i’d tucked the mudflap before i’d even done one lap of the block ! Happy days 😎👍

Come on own up the ones who did this back in the day. Last week I saw a local kid, about 15 or so, on a grifter with a small petrol engine fitted. Thought it was odd, in this day and age, to even see a grifter, let alone a powered one, and ridden by a kid! I can only assume his dad is a fan or old Raleighs.
