So, Facebook seems to be enjoying people doing this 10 year challenge. Y'no, what you looked like 10 years ago, and what you look like now. For those who wish to have faces by cars, and have been doing so for years anyway, here is something for us to do . What cars did you have in 2010 and what cars do you have now? Back in 2010, I started off owning : -1979 MGB GT Replica -1989 Peugeot 205 GTi -1989 Porsche 944 S2 By the time that year ended, due to my job at the time, the Porsche would go after I chucked quite a chunk of cash at it and in all honesty, not being as happy as I wanted with the car ; I knew it needed more to get it how I wanted; but my then daily of my dad's was terrible and with the mileage and space needs I had then, one car had to go and it was there up for the chop. In its place would come a 2005 Ford Mondeo Ghia X V6 3.0 estate. In some ways, it lacked the pantomine of the 944, it was always going to. But it had a charm, and it really could be hustled well with that creamy smooth V6. I was gutted when that car got written off: Now? This year has some similarity! -1972 Mercedes W108 280SE 4.5 -2003 BMW E46 M3 Coupe -2008 Ford Mondeo 2.5T Estate In some ways it's a great package to have, with a car for quite a few occasions. An off-roader would complete the set! I will admit having 3 cars with a combined age of 70 years old does become testing on keeping them as you want them. It's also interesting that the age gap between the M3 and the 944 relatively speaking isn't much. But they are received quite differently in each time . So, what about you folks? Have you changed cars as often as you have changed women, or hot dinners? Or have you been faithful the car from a decade ago, with it evolving over time? It'll be interesting to see this one and from the RRers here .

I've had loads of cars but 10 years ago I had this This was after owning it for a year, wasnt brave enough to lower it and someone robbed the tow cover. Anyway, 10 years on (about 9 years and 9 months longer than was predicted I'd have it, 3 months was my record till then) it's like this. 90k added to the clocks, numerous dents and rust, but I like my astra.

I thought this the other day, 10 years ago I’d just got a blue vw van, I have a near identical one now Lucy has a blue Seat hatchback, now has a blue Skoda estate, so really not a lot to see in terms of daily drivers here But 10 years ago I had a noisy yellow plaything, and I (well Tom and me) have a different one of those now

I’ve been though so many cars in the last decade it’ll take me a couple of days to figure out!
I did own my model A then though. But not any of the other dozen or so I now have.

I can’t play this game! Apart from the daily I haven’t changed any in 10 years. Of course you can! Show the daily you had 10 years ago and what you have now . Also, if your retros have changed in 10 years regarding appearance, mods etc. , it's cool to see that story. It's something people like me have missed out on in most cases .

Ten years ago, I had this... Today, this... In every way they are entirely dissimilar. Except for the fact I've only ever owned two vehicles that could be defined as commercial vehicles. These are they. One was purchased in 2009, one in 2019.

Nice idea for a thread 10 years ago today, I had a slightly ratty turbo Mx5 making around 200hp. By the summer of 2010 it had got a lot more ratty and gained some crazy paint. It also gained a slightly crazy engine. It's been a while since I looked at the pictures of it at this stage of it's life and I'd forgotten how good it looked on those 14" Watanabes. Hard to beat those on an Mx5 I think. I paired this with a small Flat 1.2 Punto daily driver (which felt slow and rubbish and I generally disliked) and a retro Suzuki 2 stroke motorcycle (which I loved). Moving to today, about 20 cars and motorbikes later, I've got a ratty 1968 Daimler 250 v8 project, which is a rather different prospect to the Mx5. but still has an interesting engine! Which is paired with a small Fiat 1.2 500 daily driver (which is broadly the same as the Punto underneath, and yet I quite like now) and a retro Suzuki 2 stroke motorcycle (which I love!) So yeah, interesting that despite having had a big variety of vehicles in that 10 years the place I find myself now actually isn't that different from where I was 10 years ago!

Ten years ago I had this. And this. Today I still have The Dutton, don't think I can part with that one. But the ambulance has been replaced with this. and I have a couple of projects on the back burner. and this as a daily to alternate with the Transit.

10 years ago i was 2 years into my driving career, i didnt have much of a job and was just prior to going back to college. Just doing what we all do at that age, and I had one car that I used to do it all in, and for another reaperance on RR it was my original mk2 polo breadvan 'Polly' which, complete with T&T cost me £150.00 at the time Now, lots of odd vehicles later a reasonably more mature me (yeah right) has gone down to one car again for diing all that a 30 year old does, and it's pippa the pug! So far probably one of the best cars ive ever bought! As a later arrival to motorcycles 10 years ago my bike had pedals.. however now is the cb500/cd200 Good thread plan! I'm sure plenty more interesting than me!

In January 2010 I had the following; '51 Vanguard, dailied in the mid '80s, not driven since, '71 Wolseley 1300, my daily since September '06, '75 Austin 1300, old daily, very rusty, not started since the winter of '96, '78 XC Falcon wagon, old daily until got too rusty to get a wof/mot, '78 Mercedes Benz 0305 bus, purchased minus engine and trans for use as guest bedroom, '80 EN Civic (registered new in '81), old daily, got too rusty to get a wof/mot, '83? EN Civic, purchased as parts car, rusty and incomplete, '89 EA Falcon wagon, wife's daily/family hauler, '91 EA Falcon wagon, old daily, crashed at 463,000 km and replaced with the '89 wagon.
Now, in January 2020, I still have all of the previous list and have added the following; '57 Fordson E1A Major, drove it home but it's a project, not started in years, '90 EA Falcon wagon, my current daily, '90 BG Laser, my wife's current daily, registered in her name so not technically mine.

I started a thread for the tractor on another forum once upon a time. Otherwise only pictures, and many of those are old paper ones.

This pic from about 2001 shows me with my work Hilux (an old one from the late '80s) and a colleague's Corolla. Daughter shown in Wolseley pic came home from the maternity hospital in that Hilux. Random Datsun 200B also visible on the street.

The Civic before it got super rusty and another work Hiace. The E1A Major not long after I bought it. The outside duals are the original tyres from 1957. A near neighbour bought it new and to the best of my knowledge it has never been more than twenty-five miles from home since.
