	Engine loom And then distractions started. My friends grandfather was sellin Alfa romeo 33, 120.000 km, one owner, original paint. It was a mess but I could recognise a good car under all dirt. Carburettors were faulty and 1000 other small things but I took the car and killed one month of M3 work.

	Back to M3. Front end dissasembly. It is unbelivable how much dirt and leaves I found unde front wings. Car was always in garage in last few years and all the time since last respray. Who ever did tthe respray did not bother to clean the car. I also found damage to front left inner fender but it was only first 5 cm. You can see that horn holders are missing (managed to get originals) and l side lock failed. Locks on this year don`t have micro switch on car body for windows but inside the lock. Never dissasemble the lock on e36, it is impossible to get it back together. New is around 380 euro. Second hand is imposible to find. And I found the reason for whole front end to be a litle bit off. Bonnet latch carrier was bent in many directions. I got second hand original that was like new in dimensions.

	Test fit with new/used latch carrier and everything alignes much better. Engine dissasembley: And there was finaly an opportunity to see all leaking places, although car never poduced any oil marks on parking spot.

	If you look closely at fron engine picture you can see that servo pump puley has rubbing marks. It had rubbed on oil cooler hoses when car had that light damage in front left end. Hoses needed to be changed as these things can fail even when not damaged. Servo oil container was also a bit oily. These containers are actually filters for servo oil and this was also on list for change. Low pressure servo hose was totaly worn as it has already sometime been replaced but with unadquate rubber grade. I decided to leave only anti roll bars poly bushes and change everything else for new rubber. I have no good experience with Powerflex or other similar product. Car also came with OMP brake pads that were screaming until realy hot and braided brake hoses that mage pedal travel realy funny. I think that this is all fine in racing car (I drove at least 10 different racing cars) but in street car this is overkill that makes the ride less comfortable. Some pictures of different worn out components and very important discovery. This burned EGR hose is probbably producing rough idle when realy hot. This is the only place that car can breathe false fresh air. Bearings on AC compressor, air compressor and alternator needed to be changed. Luckily some of those bearings are the same part no as mercedes benz components so they were not so pricey.

	Somebody had cut out and replaced with normal part of metal exhaust flexi. It was raltivley neat so decison was to keep it that way. This exhaust system was temporary solution that I made because car came with very loud and droning sportauspuff. New original is ridiculosley expensive (more than 5000 eur) so I was on the hunt for decent second hand original exhaust. parts to be cleaned and polished prop shaft also needed new central bearing, rubber was fine but bearing itself was producing sound. servo pump pulley that was rubbing on oil hoses And one good news, no rust on anti roll bar carriers. These places like to rust on e36, but mine were like new.

	Thank you for reading this. If you have any question about something feel free to ask. Some more pictures of underside. It was not so bad for 20 something year old car. Odometer is exactly 200.000 km when I started taking the car apart. Picture with red circle is showing damage to guibo bolts as result of driving with failed guibo. This guibo is also original part but I decided to change it anyway as it showed small cracks in rubber.

	As there was some damage to front of the car and left side was a bit damaged but most important left wishbone was changed I started investigating if the car was straight. I have only 2 pictures of this process, I searched in all my folders and can`t find them anywhere. Here it is Ad now textbook exaple of speakers instalation in mid 90s Fortunaley one can not swing an axe enough when rear wwindshield is installed. All structural parts have miraculosley survived.

	Mesuring showed that car is completley straight. All damages were just on the surface.

	Air filter was always a bit of perfect position. Front bracket had been teard off in that front colision and somebody welded it in wrong place. It is strange that all plastic parts say 93 and this had been teared off. Also marked in red is an original stamp in color - so no filler on this part of inner wing. Strut tower was a bit rusty at one place so that also needed to be sorted. Actually all areas that meet 2 or more body parts start to produce rust after 20 years. This was the moment that i decided to do full rebuild of chasis. It turned out later that this was the right time to do this as body did not start to disintegrate yet.

	It also showed some rust under front windscreen (it has never beeen removed) Also right strut tower had a bit of rust as horn for alarm had been mounted there.
