That’s bloody annoying for you and me after yesterday’s high I would recommend a visit from a local scratch repair man It’ll probably cost around £70 but they do a top job Oh and the lodger pays or this time it’s goodbye surely??

Time for this waster to move on. Clearly has zero respect for you as a landlord or the nice things you strive to own. Clearly a very happy day for mercdan and yourself to have a catch up an do somethin productive felled in one clear swoop of the lodgers selfish axe of doom. I sit here saddened as Dan and your work has a dark cloud over it. Take solace that I enjoy reading your updates more as a different take on life than just as a car thread. P.s. I was positively salivating at the pictures of food.

I hear you. Some people just don't care.
I have a big chunk taken out of the paint on the rear r/h door courtesy of someone in a parking lot.
It's infuriating, I know.

What an utter waste of space. Some people these days have no respect for other people's property. Agree that the smart repair people should be able to sort that.
Hope that this week brings better luck and more positive moments.

Might be harsh but whilst you have the old tyres on, I’d be placing his bicycle on the drive and reversing over it!

That’s bloody annoying for you and me after yesterday’s high I would recommend a visit from a local scratch repair man It’ll probably cost around £70 but they do a top job Oh and the lodger pays or this time it’s goodbye surely?? I am considering just adding clear over the scratch and the chip. This trucks paint is like a highly strung woman....... any excuse to go wrong. I doubt any chip repair guy, even the good ones, will get it right. I am hyper-critical, and will see the repair as readily as the scratch. Currently still in two minds, but may just brush some clear onto the scratch, as well as on the chip. OT - why is he even still there? Shitter about the truck Hard to explain at times, and even I wonder, but he is on borrowed time of course. If I got to the truck in a shop carpark, and found a shopping trolley dent, scratch or damage on it, chances are that I would be ultra pi$$$ed of course, but I would not have it repaired up to a certain level of damage. The bonnet and front fender were repainted by the previous owner due to something falling onto or against it...... and if you look at the door and fender in certain angles and light conditions, it is obvious there was paint applied. So for me the current status is to leave it alone. Thank you, I enjoy threads with more variation. I hear you. Some people just don't care. I have a big chunk taken out of the paint on the rear r/h door courtesy of someone in a parking lot. It's infuriating, I know. Indeed, absolutely infuriating but its done now. Yup. what a pain in the ar*e as said above the smart repair guys can work wonders with something like that, at this rate he will cost you more than you get in rent though! LOL...... and that is the thing. I still think the rent is worth having. What an utter waste of space. Some people these days have no respect for other people's property. Agree that the smart repair people should be able to sort that. Hope that this week brings better luck and more positive moments. Thanks mate. Good, would be good. Might be harsh but whilst you have the old tyres on, I’d be placing his bicycle on the drive and reversing over it! Not going to happen. He offered to repair it. I declined, you only have to look at the state of him and the room he rents.

Well annoying after you have just had it polished up nice, but scars are just another story to tell...
Time for those hot wheels to go on, fill her up with some liquidated dinosaurs and get some smiles per gallon out the thing.
The sun is shining brighter each day and there is good cruising time ahead!
(maybe a few more cheeky burnouts too)

Will be good getting some miles and smiles on once the government deems it safe for us all to step outside again. Possibly no more burnouts. I would hate to break something just in the pursuit of silliness. Awaiting Paul Y and Woody to regale us with rolling burnouts He is after all known for it. forum.retro-rides.org/thread/176466/woody-c10-2021-update-progress

I had a paint gouge done by a smart repair guy. Repair was invisible. Was a silver grey metallic. Even just to get the lodger to cough up, I'd get it done.

It certainly is something to aspire to. what a crapper on the scratch !!!! feel your pain Thanks mate. My mum reversed a 2 week old Mercedes Benz into a 15” wall crunching the valence below the bumper..... she was so petrified of telling my dad that she had bent her car, and all he said was, “we can fix it” I had a paint gouge done by a smart repair guy. Repair was invisible. Was a silver grey metallic. Even just to get the lodger to cough up, I'd get it done. This, may end up.being, real tempting, but it has a few marks, on,the bumpers etc. Could get costly.

So after Dan and I had dealt with the truck I still felt the stripes need to be replaced, as the tailgate pieces were damaged, both from age and when they were fitted. So yesterday I went out and took a wheel to get a better idea on the colour match of the wheels anthracite and the stripes. I was shocked at how close the match is , and the stripes are metallic as well. Lodger came home with some clear and hardener as well. I still don’t want him near the truck, but thought if I just fill the scratch and chip in with clear, it oiled at least halt degeneration somewhat. However, hearing the feedback (no idea on costs) of chip repairers, I am now intrigued as well. Need to investigate more.

Even if you like getting the rent, as I would to, couldn't you get it off another lodger who was less hassle?
You're not just getting the rent though, you're getting hassle as well which diminishes the rent.
You deserve a better lodger.
