Also looked into maybe fitting a full early 2000s JBL system in the boot of that W140:
Then moved onto the Jaguar XJ40, Removed the tow bar and I have the metal work for it to be bagged and the bags, I managed to my full accuair elevel+ and bronze EndoCVT tank just before they went bust. So ive fitted the tanks and management. The car is no ready to go for the rest to be installed but looks like i need a wider set of BBS RC wheels (RC010 and RC090). Mine are RC040 in 7.5 width.
The golf clipper is now being stripped down, i have removed the roof too since these pics were taken. This car was left outside and covered in green moss when i picked it up last year but look how solid it is under the body kit. The underside is just as good too. Only 3 small repairs required (1 around the clutch cable in the bay which has been snotted up before, a small hole in the top of one rear quarter and a repair to get rid of a hole left by tow bar electrics!
Plan is to paint the whole thing and change the motor to either a VR6 or a 1.8T and the 16 inch autostrader Modena wheels with grey roof
E30 BMW failed its mot on front discs and pads, a steering linkage and a fuel pipe so that will have a purple tag rack fitted at the same time and be on the road in its pinkish colour. Center caps for my 16" remotec A wheels have arrived and are being powdercoated.
E31 BMW has passed its mot after fitting many suspension parts and a rear screen so just waiting for that to be registered in the UK again:
Jaguar XJ40 - ive fitted the diamond cut Oz breytons 17s after having them ruined by a nationwide franchised wheel resto company. Love the look but refurb isnt good:
Lincoln engine is back together and painted and ive recovered the wiring loom. Few more jobs to do before its refitted though:
Ive also managed to source a replacement rear beam for the xr2 so got to get that cleaned up and painted.
The clio has had its wheels refurbed, brakes painted and now has matching tyres but drives terrible so more work to be done on that before selling it:
