Yeah they don't like to remove them if they don't have to. Taking them out makes you more susceptible to other respiratory diseases (colds, flu, pneumonia etc.) as the tonsils form a sort of pre-warning system for your immune system. Plus, it involves expensive surgery rather than cheaper antibiotics that are much more available now. Yeah I had a feeling it came down to cost.. then again if they did there job right in first place, the cost would be a lot less (assessed her and prescribed antibiotics on the Wednesday, rather than her be admitted to hospital spend all day on IV antibiotics, get transfer by ambulance to another hospital, over night stay there, etc etc). The cost is secondary to the additional health risk (especially as you get past your 60s), although it is still a factor. But yeah, should have been sorted earlier!

So a year ago today the world was a different place.. we were allowed to our mates, the pub, on holiday, and to kiss strangers Corona was a weak beer and If I wanted to go on a road trip to fetch car parts I could. And that's exactly what I did according to my FB memory 1 year ago today me my daughter and my mate went and fetched the btcc bodykit! So it seemed slightly fitting that today on my way back from site in Rotherham I called into the bodyshop and collected the kit! Now the finish.. it's not pristine. It's not 300 pound a panel perfection. It's not councourse at the Ferrari owners club day at imola... But it is more than good enough for the rest of the car. And it was cheap (and as discussed I am indeed a tight Yorkshireman).. it will look world's different with a flat and polish but he couldn't do it til it was on the car. And tbh for the money it's cost I'm happy with it. So excuses out the way how does it look. Well I was planning on a big reveal when the car was clean and it was all finished. But I'm impatient and I think it looks spot on. The car is minging disgusting filthy. It's not been washed since last summer. It's that bad it actually looks grey but I think we get the idea!! I'm slightly biased. But how good does that look!! (I mean I don't care if it's not your thing, I think it looks the dogs danglies ) and the colour match is spot on the the bits of car still with some shine to em! Hopefully tomorrow after I've done what I need to do, it can see the cold light of day for a decent wash and some better pics.. Now obviously it wouldn't be a me update if there wasn't a cock up.. so to make up for a lack of recent cock ups.. why not have 2....exhibit A... I dropped the front bumper while trying to fit it on my own. So I guess that means it's christened now!! But how mad would I have been if I'd paid a fortune for the paint. As it happens I was only medium mad haha And exhibit B.... The exhaust doesn't fit the hole in the bumper.. like not even close. Not even same postcode... So that needs chopping and the box moving now aswell... Double cock! Tbf I was never overly happy with how it sat. So now I can add some JDM wonky goodness to the box on purpose haha Anyways. Other than that I'm chuffed with how it's turning out and this picture in my head of how it was going to look is slowly coming together.. Fingers crossed I can sort the exhaust tomorrow and you never know. I may even drive it I won't be able to stay late this week as project house has gone up a gear with stairs and Spammy spam spam spam, no thank you, man. and Christ knows what all happening in next ten days. And they have signed Mrs off sick for the week for good measure after the weekends antics. So she's at home hindering my progress too now haha. Least she is on the mend tho.. More soon maybe. Work dependent. Cheers!

I reckon the wheels should stay silver. Looks like a road going homologation special.

I reckon the wheels should stay silver. Looks like a road going homologation special. Funny you should say that. Me and my boss were discussing that earlier and we're starting to think the same.. at most have them done in a anthracite gun metal colour.. maybe even just silver but a few shades darker.. it does look like a lairy one of special built for homologation purposes. You know what it's meant to be. And you know it's not quite right. But nothing screams why. And I like that haha

More I think about it more I'm tempted to agree.. well about the black intercooler anyways.. the grill has to be black to hide the bodgery haha. It won't be getting painted for a while tho. Cus there's no way I'm taking that bumper off again haha. Soon as I can get it on the floor il take it for some pics in daylight. Cheers

That looks mega! I was thinking it might be weird without a spoiler but I was wrong, very wrong! I think the wheels look good how they are but also reckon black would work too.
