So I’ve got another car to join our fleet Sadly I lost my uncle at just 64 four weeks ago to cancer, as well as being my uncle he was a great friend too us, I met my wife through a night out with him and he chauffeured us on our wedding day in his p5 Rover coupe The last few weeks have been difficult for all of us he was a great dad grandad husband and uncle we all loved him immensely over 200 people attended his cremation, a tribute to one of life’s great fellas I’m currently helping to sort the sale of various motorbikes and cars one being his beloved Rover coupe My aunt has given his Mgf to me which is much appreciated as I wanted a part of my uncles life to keep, it’s a lovely low mileage car, and a keeper RIP uncle John gone but never ever forgotten    |

As for the TF, good to keep his memory alive. was he a modifier? Later model wheels on a TF.

Had a silver y plate one myself about 7-8 years ago. Took it as a px. Thought I’d hate it but actually loved it.

Got it home tonight, quick wash off It’s been stored under a cover since last July So plenty of deep cleaning to do this weekend Drives perfectly and the vvc engine is smooth and nippy  |

Today I set about cleaning it up A good claybar with autofinesse products Got it gleaming , used renovo on the rear window, that got it nice and clear I’ve had a move around and put it in the garage only short term as the escort van lives in there I will need to find storage locally eventually, I will keep it at home to use over the summer months       |

Weather hopefully getting better so I insured and taxed the mgf Used it this week for commuting duties My pals and a few work colleagues have given me stick about it not being my usual decent motor! But do I care?? ...not at all this is great fun to drive, and I mean drive unlike most modern stuff you have to drive it up and down the gears and get the most out of the vvc engine And I’m glad I got the chance to have it , I think of my uncle every time I jump in it, think he would enjoy me getting it out and about  |
