Given the let downs that you have had with this so far I wish you well in your pursuit to get it returned to the road - Chris

Looks like I missed all the drama.. Where did your old thread go? What happened?? I see you posted it for sale at some point. I'm glad you're keeping it.

Matt, I'll pm you if you want to know the whole story but the outcome is what you see here, hopefully it will be running soon so I can post some positive news on the old girl. Tucked up inside ready for work to begin.

Lovely to see this old thing again. Best of luck with it. Have I mentioned before that I think the RX30 Cressida is the coolest looking thing Toyota ever made?

This is super cool. Just shows a nice lowering job and decent rims transfers the look. subscribed to this project. My Dodge Dart project has stalled for the last 2 years and just got back on it myself, so good luck. Just noticed you are not far from me, I'm near Chorley, Maybe see you around at a show in 2019 if we get motivated

The Cressida is still moving forward slowly but surely, so I got the car back in the state it was in and needed to see what we had, in short it is a bit of a mess. The O/S front suspension has a nut on the coil over that loosens itself after a couple of turns of the wheel and the N/S is hard up against the shock when the wheel nuts are fully tightened and won't rotate at all. Great. Not to mention it pisses air everywhere... There are lots and lots and lots of issues with this car but they will be sorted one by one. It was decided to concentrate on the engine 1) to see if it would actually run and 2) Because V8s make people smile The wiring loom was a bit of a state but mostly all there. So after a bit of fiddling this happened: What we need now is a better tidier loom so thanks to a recommendation from ianlea73 I sent the loom and ecu to Phoenix Engine Management, This little lot should be winging it's way back to me shortly. New cam belt/water pump etc to go on whilst we have the opportunity and then move on to the cooling side of things. Just don't mention suspension......

I don't really understand why you're having so much trouble with the bags. Apart from no one knowing what my car is, it seems reasonably straight forward to get bagged here. Found a couple of places now that are willing to have a crack at it. One place even sent me a full list of what I'd need.. Oops, I mentioned it... Good to see you're making progress.

Just in case somebody needs confirmation just how much of a positive difference wheels and lows can make to an otherwise rather dull car! Love it!
