TL;DR for some people below, history about me and the car:
Short introduction,I've been around cars and motorcycles since I was able to sit on the potty in the garage and "helping" my dad with hos projects.
Which includes (but is not limited to) mainly old Mercedes's such as W136, W120, W180, W123 and some modern stuff such as W140 and W203 and this W111 280 SEC 3.5 some Velocette's, Sarolea's and Hondas as well.
I'm mostly to my fathers shock an Alfa-guy, and my car list is "OK" and consist of following history (cars marked with # are scrapped):
# Polar Silver BMW E21 318 Coupe 1982 (which I started restoring and then gave to a friend),
Moss-Green Mercedes Benz W120 180 1953 (ongoing project),
# Solid Red Peugeot 605 2.0 1991 (learnt to drive in it and was in mint condition until scrap),
# White Peugeot 605 3.0 1989 (broke the gearbox and engine, later took the seats to the red one up top),
# Metallic Red Peugeot 605 2.0 1995 (took parts of it for the red one),
# Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TS 1998 (engine was broken, seller didn't tell this, renovated and Turbo-charged the engine, scrapped the car due to extensive rust in floor, still have the engine and gearbox)
Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 1998 (German import, goes like hell, lowered and a bit tuned, only summer driven since import, still have it after 6 years.)
Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 MA 2010 (current daily, expensive insurance ~2000 EUR/1 year, cheap to drive, maintain and easy to work on, have a current tune for 200bhp, but not as fun as the 156.)
Unfortunately my dad passed away 1,5 years ago and I inherited this coupe, and my sister inherited the W123 coupe (already restored), and since my was in pieces I decided to put it all together, get an MOT and drive it to my cousins wedding this summer 2018. My dear sister wished a sarcastically "good luck", my mom choked on her coffee, and my dog ran away.
So there's the plan and history about me! What about the car?
Well for starters, my dad bought the car 8th of Januari 1980, (which also was last MOT'd) and it had 4 owners (my father and mother are 2 of them).
He drove it for a while, and then he bought a house and everything got put in the garage October/November of 1982, he later took it apart for a repaint and it never got together or repainted..
He got a bunch of other cars and motorcycles and didn't have time to fix it and now I've got it.
So I'm going to put it together, look for rust and rough-spots, fix the stuff I can or cannot fix (prefer to do stuff myself) and have it as a daily since I cannot afford to have anymore cars, and this is one special car for me and as far as I know only 66 known in my country so it's quite rare.
