	Went to combe for another action day on Saturday. On the way in I got pulled by the law. My vinyl plate was deemed as illegal. No warning, no slap on the wrist. Straight £100 fine!! I was on a small stand at the back of the paddock. A mate sent me a few pics. So on sunday I fitted an old plate & made some brackets. Decided to pull the car off the road to start my front chassis swap. Pulled out all the original tired parts & fitted my bc coilovers, s14 hubs & parts & my 350mm wilwood set up. Also removed the dirty expansion bottle. Cleaned the outside with tar & glue remover & dry rice inside. Really pleased with how it came out. Next is to get the suspension dialled in & get the alignment set.

	Thanks I appreciate the positive feedback. The orange front end isn't actually standard either. The lights are actually from a nissan cima 4.1 litre V8. They do fit to the wings to make it look factory. Gloria y32. Cima v8.

	I've got the car booked in for alignment on saturday as steering is off after the rebuild. Also I've very nearly stripped the orange car. Few nuts & the rear end will be out. I'm then going to strip the subframe clean everything & then rebuild it with all new adjustable arms. It means I can eliminate the rhydraulic rear steer system & clean up the chassis.

	What do you do with the dry rice? Just fil it up and shake it? I have a really grubby header tank I need to clean!

I cleaned it out the best I could with a plate cleaning brush & swilled it through. I let it dry & used a hairdryer. Then 1/4 filled with rice & shake it until your arms ache!

	Finally got the rear wheels off ready to strip. I found the original build stickers on the outer barrel. Car looks lame.

	Had chance today to strip down the rear end. Removed the old disks & calipers & trial fitted the grooved & vented z32 disks & the R33 rear calipers. I had to trim the stone guard to fit the caliper but no biggy. I had some braided lines from my old s13 project so used them. I then fitted the hardrace tension & camber arms & cleaned all the bolts up & used copper slip. I'm still waiting on my hsd coilover bits & springs from the powder coater which should be with me by the end of the week, fingers crossed.

	I've never liked the exhaust poke from under the bumper so today I cut it down & repositioned it. Simple job with a satisfying result. I then used some amazing Polish that brought back to a really nice shine. Before. After.

	Thanks chap always appreciate the feedback. From what I've researched the vg30det engine has 255bhp as standard in this spec. It uses the same 4 bolt T3 turbo as the R33gtst nissan skyline & is quad cam. However as I have the impul ecu which advances timing & riches up the fuel I'd expect a bit more. I also have a 3" free flow exhaust & hks air intake with an hks intercooler. I can't get it rolling roaded as an automatic because apparently it causes to many issues reading true figures. The long term plan is to convert it to manual using all the parts from a Z32 300zx.

	Wheels came back from powder & Polish so I rebuilt them last night & got the tyres fitted this morning. Hopefully I'll get a chance to rebuild the coilovers tomorrow so I can get the car back on the ground.

	Its a nice looking car for sure, Vauxhall bits can be hard work to find now I shudder to think how difficult parts are for this though!

	Parts are few & far between hence the reason to change the main suspension components to a more popular nissan 200sx. Looking forward to Bunning the autobox & using 300zx nissan manual parts too. As for all the trim & interior etc this is the reason I got the parts car.

	Built the bc coilovers with hsd springs & s14 top mounts. Wheels fitted & suspension height & camber set up by eye. Then took it for a hard drive to get the suspension to settle. I might bring in the camber a bit & lower it 5-10mm.
