I finally got round to rebuilding the interior. I'm waiting for my stereo surround to comeback. I still want to fill a few old switch holes & retrim the glovebox. I'm not concerned with the gear surround as when I convert the car to manual I'll modify the standard one. The plan is then to have all the surrounds & switch housings either wrapped or hydro dipped.

Unfortunately the orange car isn't as nice as I'd hoped. The bootlid & rear 1/4's are rotten or very rusty so it's a parts car. I sold the wheels straight away without needing to even advertise them. I'm going to pull the front and rear subframes so I can get them blasted & painted. It gives me a spare diff & driveshafts & the engine I can rebuild in my garage. Obviously I'll have loads of trim pieces but more than that I can have spare glass all round. As you can see I have started to remove the huge bodykit. It's a branded kit but it's really hard trying to find info on it. So I hope to have this stripped & gone in a few weeks. As a side note if anyone has a gloria & needs bits pm me.

Quick post. Finally got the wife to use her sewing skills to make me a gator surround from my 'bride' material. Fitted a short reach samurai sword to finish it off. Cars come a long way. I've bought an innovate afr kit that's being fitted next Friday. Hope to have a few bits hydro dipped at the same time.

Started on the door card retrim. It's bride material which is a company in Japan that make sports seats & trim pieces. I dyed the arm rest but I think I'll retrim that in some black velvet crush material I have. Hoping to get the trim panels hydro dipped on Friday.

Haven't really got an update other than I've finished retrimming all the doorcards & dyed some spare brown mats I had in the spares car. I washed and detailed her ready for jdm day at Castle Combe tomorrow. I'm on the sxoc stand at the far end of camp corner if anyone wants to say hello.

To bad the orange one is in bad shape. My VG30DET is for sale so it would be a good replacement.

Ye unfortunately the more bits I take off the worse it gets. Still good for plenty of spare parts.

Took the car to Castle Combe jdm day & put the car on a club stand. As you'd expect I had loads of people asking me what the car is & asking plenty of questions. Went off for a wander around the track & when we for back I had an envelope under the windscreen. Really surprised as the car is no where near done. I was asked so many times what the car was I decided to get a sticker made by a mobile company in the paddock area. Only a bit of fun.

This is why I love this place. Take a J-car I've never seen in the flesh and, to be honest, didn't like overmuch, and watch it turn into something I'd happily smoke around in (although being a lazy sod these days, I'd stick with auto) And all in front of my very eyes.
Love what you are doing to this, keep up the excellent work.

I have a Z32 manual behind my VG30DET. But a Z31 would work too.
