Nothing that would make me panic and a fair bit that I see as solid.

Great job done! I am a bit surprised to see that the bonnet and trunk also were shot blasted. The shotblasting compagny i use, doesnt blast items with a frame because there is a risk you find the contours of the frame on the outside skin after the shot blasting
Now the fun begins! Good luck

If you're going V8 I'd suggest an odd one Volvo B36 V8 π

That crumpled RH framerail might be your pass to get creative with the engine swap side of things. The factory steering and crossmember make the V8 swap much harder than it needs to be.
The danger is that one you let your mind go down this road, there is no place to stop!

With subframe and all suspension bits. And it would give more room for that Yamaha V8. The only concern is that 740 would be too wide for the body, so will need to extend the fenders. But as you say. There is no place to Stop. π

I have given some consideration to widening the fenders, but could not mentally see flairs of any design that would complement the P1800 design.
The Miata track limits me to 195-55-16 tires on a 48 mm offset rim. MAYBE a 205 would fit, but a fender roller would maybe have to be used.

Hi guys. Not much of the progress. Since now I am abroad so need to get someone to weld car. Welder number one get involved in fight with alcohol, so month passed and no work started. Yesterday packed parts and car and of it went to the welder number 2. A little bit of body wrap. ehmmm. So will see how this pregresses. Orherwise still stick to pink dreams of driving it some summer day. π

Bad news on the welder, hopefully your sorted now and things can move on, It looks like some sort of secret weapon on that trailer!!
I had the same trying to get mine painted as they were either drunk/getting drunk/some other world ending calamity/unreliable eg 6 months to prep a bonnet and 2 doors which still didn't get done in the end!
Did the whole car myself in the end 1 panel at a time in cellulose!!

Your tin guy seems to know what he is about and doing a reasonable job. That is always a good thing. Good tin bashers are not easy to find anymore.
Was confused for a second when I saw the gearbox tunnel was out of the car. I mean, those never rust right? Then I recalled that this was getting an as of yet undetermined V8 swap. Any more details to divulge on that front?
Keep the updates coming.

Regarding front there is idea to implant 240 front members and suspension. And yes that tunnel will need to be bigger to accomodate M90. That at least the plan for the moment.

Sorry to hear that it has not gone faster.
My shop has become a refuge for projects like yours that never seem to get done even when the owners are paying or willing to pay for the work. They all come with stories of some kind from when the project was started. In my case, it works because I am not a business and I only work on one project at a time. I get to work on interesting cars and don't have to pay for it. When the cars are done they go away and I get something different to play with.
