Hi, Here is the thread where i will post up the progress photos of my build. I first got the Alto early 2016 when my Berlingo died (again) as a run about but I have unexpectedly grown to really enjoy it. With no power its a good laugh trying to keep it up to speed. i think it feels like a Cinquecento with none of the reliability issues. I've grown to like it so much it is being rebuilt with more power and a lot of chassis mods but i will post pics when i can... I don't think i have any photos of when i first got it so here it is after i put some 14x6 et40 Black Racing wheels on with 165/55 14 tyres. Then we cut springs

Cutting the springs was a terrible idea. I got Astra G? coilovers for cheap so i made them fit I think i might change to corsa or polo coilovers to get lower. I'm already as low as these ones go but am reluctant to spend money to find out they wont be any lower Now the black wheels wouldnt fit without doing this So back onto the steels

This is excellent! Looks great with import sized plates and roof bars. Keep up the good work.

Excellent work. I also have a soft spot for these. My mam had one and it was pretty good. So cheap to own as well!

Success. Borrowed an arch roller which turned into me just hammering the arches out. Fitted the wheels back on, made an adjustable Panhard rod and took the side strips off Then i had to replace the bottom arms as they had rusted through

It's just Halfords wheel paint. The aluminium corrosion has come through it though after 6 months but I should probably have primed it....

Looking really good.
Paint the window surrounds satin black and get the door handles in silver and I would called it done.

So whilst the shed was out of action (blown to bits) i taught myself how to use LEDs The aim was to make some LED tail lights. I had also planned to paint the headlights from black to chrome This is a before/after I seem to have lost a lot of the LED photos. I was making mk1/2/3/4/5/6 etc all winter  Long story short. I painted the inners of the light black and stuck the lens back on
