Please don't take this the wrong way, but I never thought I'd say this about a rover...so awesome! Love it. What a great idea/ great little vehicle. I bet that will be so much fun to go about your business in once finished. It looks very purposeful, will be great for embarrassing lots of 'faster' cars i'm sure! Really enjoying the progress, nice to see it being done properly. Out of interest, what benefit does the lead loading give over just plain filler? Thanks for comment i lead over welded joints so i don't have to worry about them showing through the paint in the future sometimes from previous experience when filling over welded joints a faint ghost of the joint that lies beneath can show through the paint after a couple of years it is probably not necessary but i do it for piece of mind

Lead loading wont crack, shrink absorb water or fall out.

Never noticed the unusual lock location before, surprised you did not weld/revise the old hole. Reminded me I must look into epoxy primer cost/availability locally.

Your gunna have to lay on the floor to fill it up! haha the lower fuel flap is a just a dummy to create the look of the mk1 i am using the original fuel neck, just modifying/turning it round so it will be filled from the inside

I love the work that is going into this. It's certainly being done properly especially touches like the relocated fuel filler. Going to look brilliant once it's done.

Awesome project mate. From a fellow metro owner, well done on the quality of the work.

roll cage and rear bulkhead fitted for the final time seats fitted, i didn't think about seat clearance when building the roll cage but luckily they still fit more work on the roof rack originally a transit roof rack so its took a lot of cutting and modifying to make it fit the tiny metro roof aerial hole welded up on roof

I had a 1.1 metro with 30k on it in the same colour once. Dropped all the fluid out and ran it with no suspension for a bit. Was absolutely awful to drive and turned me off metros!
This however is allsorts of awesome and I can’t wait to see it finished
