I'm in need of a pair of MGB half shafts as I believe that's what has been used for this (the rear hubs certainly are)
If anybody has some for sale I'd be very interested. I believe they're the banjo type shafts but I'll double check the spline count later.

Gentleman on the left of your picture above is the one I spoke to at length about the Bentley engine and other projects - could've chatted all day!

Brown and Gammons has them listed, but they are expensive - www.ukmgparts.com/product/mgb-midcat-2-submgb35-rear-axle-banjo-type/halfshaft-banjo-mgb-btb336

There are two or three complete "B" rear axles for sale on that well known 'bay site.

Only early Bs had Banjo diffs. But they are a bolt in swap to an A60 Farina so it might widen your net to look for A60 shafts which are obviously all of disc wheel hub type as well. I think earlier Farinas had a different spline. Pid363! ??

Thanks Seth yep early farinas had 10 or 11 spline shafts and are narrower than later ones. I only have later farinas ones.

Definitely not 10 spline. Just found this photo of the output flanges on the gearbox. Appears to be later MGB

I'll do a proper post at some point. Not a great deal to update, the previous owner found a load more parts which helped massively but then we went from 3 drag strips to 1 in 12 months so I'm trying to come up with a plan that will make the car meet noise limits so I can run at different events on runways

Is there any kind of updates on this? I was really enjoying following this build. Is it still there or is there another car distracting you from this one?

Not touched it, still got nowhere local to race it (hopefully track may be back next year) so put it on the back burner. Been collecting spares as and and when I spot them so I've now got 2 engines and 3 gearboxes for it, just not got the inclination to sink several grands into something that in the current racetrack situation I'd only be able to use once or twice a year, on a less that ideal surface for what this needs.

The previous owner actually found the original halfshafts when he tidied the shed so I've got them now. They're Mk1 Escort shafts with the flange end of a MG Midget welded on.

Not had chance, got the engine to the point of needing the head bolting on then I've been too busy building engines for other people/doing building work on house/sorting out wedding etc etc. I need to sort a covered trailer out so I can keep it out the way as it makes using the garage awkward as curse word.
