I am hankering after one of those 'bug eye' Scorpios in the 2.9 24v engine. Values have just gone up and / or none around these days.
928 is good value, but takes some many brave pills indeed.

Yeh I would be happy with an Estate, but I haven't got the time or space at the moment to take in another project. Just purchased an '05 CL500 with no MOT that will need some funds to get back onto the road. Now that was a lot of car for £2700 and has the newer 7G gearbox.

Oh you're killing me with these, stop it!
Would love another 2 door 1300 and that one, being cream, could be made to look ace so easily with a dash of the old 'British Cafe Racer' aesthetic (see Hotwires thread). Surprised to see the wing mirrors not on the wings...
And that Volvo is lovely and is cheap also. Although no current MOT there are no particularly nasties on the entire recorded MOT history. Just usual Moosewagon stuff like ineffectual handbrakes and balljoints plus iffy brakes through - I'm betting - lack of use.
Goes away to count money and then cry in corner.

Yeap, I'm betting both of these old gals could be really nice without major expenditure. I have previously thrown an idea out there to assist fellow members with mass storage; forum.retro-rides.org/thread/208290/discreet-car-hoarders-paradigmYou just need to work really hard, invent something amazing, be good at guessing future lottery numbers or become an MP!

Vauxhall Viva 2300 SL. Derbyshire. £750.00 1972 Family owned 'barn find'. Unused 35 years. For restoration. Possibly only 1 of 5 left? Toyota Corolla GT 1.6. Co. Tipperary. £3,800.00 1985 AE82. MOT history worth a check. I assume off road for some time before 2016. Fiat 126. N Ireland. £900. 1991. Low mileage. Parked up under cover last 22 years. For recommissioning / light resto.

BMW 635 CSi auto. W Midlands. £4K 1984. Out of MOT for past 5 years. For recommissioning. MOT history worth a check. Cortina Mk V 1.6L estate. Kent. £4K 1982. From last year of production, has apparently spent years at a time parked up. Looks very sound. Low mileage. Drives. MOT'd.

Mercedes 190E. London. £1,400.00 1992. September MOT. Drives, no horror stories in MOT history. Looks unabused and original. Daimler Sovereign Vanden Plas 4.2 litre auto. Northants. £1½K 1981. Badge engineered XJ6 s3. Requiring some restoration. Drives. Modest mileage. Private plate not included but coming up as unknown on DVLA website. Mercedes Benz 500SEL. County Tyrone. £2,450.00 1991. Teutonic autobahnstomer. Ad claims Jan 2020 MOT but DVLA website says MOT expired. Rover 2000TC. Essex. £3,200.00 1967. Drives. MOT'd. Looks to be in nice order. Full length sunroof. Advertiser may have entered mileage incorrectly as DVLA website suggests that this is an extremely low mileage car? Is it feasible that it could make it to 2007 with less than 3K miles on it? Odometer change?

Metro GTa. Suffolk. £895.00 1995. 3-dr. Low mileage. Elderly owner giving up driving. Short MOT. MOT history suggests absence of maintenance so will probably need a bit doing for this MOT. I think with a good weekends work and a couple of hundred ££'s for parts this could be a fun little everyday car with a value nearer to £3K.

Now that 304 is just lovely, a rare survivor and very fairly priced - a bit of fettling and it would make a very nice motor but the panelling on the floor in the back makes it look like an ex undertakers car and would have to go if it was mine

I don't think there's much to do to get that really nice.
