Excellent job on the exhaust man!
Another thing I've wanted to do for ages is sort out the exhaust.
For some silly reason, I absolutely love the original twin pea shooter exhaust that came on these cars. Unfortunately they're no longer available in the UK. My original exhaust was rotten, so a while ago I bought a standard exhaust with single tail pipe to use in the mean time.
Recently, I pulled my finger out and made a replica of the original in stainless steel.

did you find that welding it up caused any issues with the packing? Planning to make a silencer for my Spit but not sure what to make it of yet. I've done a couple of bike silencers with alloy tubes riveted onto stainless end-caps, but can't find an alloy tube big enough for a car one unfortunately.
