Back flash looks ace. Leccy Windows look ace! When I see a backflash I always think of the static earthing straps with a red lighning bolt on it. Frustratingly i can't find a pic of one to demonstrate so not sure if I've dreamt it but I think you should get 1 (or 2 for dbl cool points) Meant to ask how did you go about fitting propex heating and where did you install it in the van. Want to do it at somepoint just weighing up whether to stick it under the bench seats or in one of the cupboards Cheers Josh I know what you mean, saw some for sale today at Huddersfield autojumble. They would need to be mega long to reach the floor on this though!

hi there
I have run quite a few cf campers over the years (been at it for over 30 years) and they are great vans. Much nicer than the equivalent transit.
One draw back with the propex heater is the noise. They always seem to be mounted in a seat / bed box.
I usually try to put them in the bottom of the wardrobe or kitchen unit.
Great van though,Adrian Bailey in leeds is the man for parts.
Cheers - mike

Speaker pods nearly done. Area around speaker will get walnut finish and back board will be carpeted. Think I need to vent the pods or leave them sealed? Cant drill holes in doors so would have to vent them into the van.

Redrilled my spare hubs to 5x120. Once I can afford the stupidly expensive tyres ill redrill my actual hubs

Doors are sorted at last. Fully insulated with 6mm foam and door builds finished and fitted. I used some dry ptfe lubricant on the window channels which has helped the power windows a fair bit.

Had big box arches and skirts, captains chairs, tassels, some kind of V8. Loved it. Everyone else thought it was rubbish!

I actually saw a camper model yesterday parked up in a layby on the A149 just outside of Kings Lynn. IIRC, it was an A reg, Series 2? white, colour coded grill and bumpers and weller wheels. Looked quite tidy.

No updates but still chipping away at it every spare moment. I have fitted a swivel seat mech from a renault espace. 3 days of head scratching, cutting, welding and grinding! Was a nightmare as the front seats fold down into beds too. Ive also done a load more sound Deadening/insulating and made new woodwork to go around the seat bases. Just finished making a bed extension to go Between the front seats and built a dash pod for the radio and 5v/12v sockets. Still got a long list if jobs to do though!

Those speaker pods are lovely, they look like they've always been there. Thanks. I wasnt (and still arent) 100% sold on the shape. I was going to just do circles, or squares with radius corners, but I decided to follow the door/inner arch shape. The shape ive done them works better and fits better, it also makes best use of the available space, but as a result they look a little over designed. Bedford wouldnt have done them like that, simple box is all they would have done. You cant see them when your in the van anyway! Edit to say, maybe the pods would look better with something in the wood effect triangle area. Small chrome trimmed hole or something. I left that area in case I needed to add a port for the box. I don't think they need a port but it may balance the design and make a bit more sense of the shape.
