MX-5 faffing. Still have an issue with electrics that is slowly driving me mental. I might, time permitting, rob a couple of post offices, and a bank or two, in order to help pay the impending big bill for my Porsche service.

New top radiator hose for MX5 and replace a headlamp bulb on the Alfa which may not be as simple as it sounds. Then if the cooling is fixed on the MX5 go to the RR awards (I'm only going if I can go by MX5!).

But on my days off next week, I'm going up to my Mum's to pick up the Granada, that's got its new brakes, tracking done, and all freshly welded underneath. And then prep it for MoT and sale.

My daily will hopefully be back on its wheels again. A simple spring replacement job has ended up being one of Those Jobs, sheared bolts and knackered bushes all needing to be dealt with on the rear suspension. Still, all the bushes are done and everything is ready to be buttoned up tomorrow so we should be good to go. Been a frustrating week not having my own transport.  Princess' rear corner should have the filler and paint work finished on the customised corner. Might even get her running again, not sure yet what the problem actually is but most likely a combination of stale fuel and BL electrics.  |

For me it will be two things basically: 1) Get my new purchase closer to an MOT (a 1977 MG Midget 1500). The rattling from the bottom end which the seller said were the K&N filters catching the chassis leg turned out not to be the filters and the oil pressure was great despite the knocking. I thought it was the crank. In the end a crank pulley bolt saved the day ; it was not there at all. I have a few more things to do on that. 2) Get to the RR Awards day at Yeovil. I may drag out the RST for this but we shall see how the weather fares . |
