Repositioned top mounts for improved front caster
Crazy amount of steering lock as standard, 3 point turns are a thing of the past!
ATS Vauxhall carlton wheels + 2 spare sets of volvo alloys
New Uniroyal rainsport tyres on the front (approx 500 miles)
Stripped rear interior
Drivers Cobra bucket seat
standard p/s seat and seatbelts
OMP wood steering wheel
Horn is on a button
All the fixings for the rear seats and interior are present should you want to fit an interior back in, and I've kept the wood boot floor in
(badly) tinted 'limo black' rear windows to hide the stripped rear
electric windows
electric mirrors, however the drivers mirror motor got damaged while it was parked
new heater matrix (pain to replace!)
Currently running 13psi which is around 230/250bhp. At 20psi its mental, I turned it down to bed in the new clutch and never felt the need to turn it back up after! These engines are fairly slow revving but between the IPD cam and lightened flywheel it picks up real nice and hits full boost very quick. (Needs to be run on 97+ octane fuel to keep things safe). Its a crazy amount of power and potential for the money, with proven reliability. Its good for 300bhp in its current spec and uses pretty much entirely tuning parts from newer volvos, so no crazy JDM maintenance costs
Of all the cars I've had this is by far the cleanest and easiest to work on. Its a volvo so has no rust and the engine bay is massive. With the air con & rad removed I can stand inside the bay to work on the engine. The rear is live axle so has nice strong driveshafts and diff changes are much simpler. Theres more space in the back than a van & the car only weighed 1400kg before it was stripped. Brakes are surprisingly good too.
Car has done 177k miles. All ball joints and bushes feel good. The engine is performs well, but is quite tappy. I made sure before upping power that I did all the essentials, like the head gasket, water pump etc. Currently has an open diff fitted, which is noisey so could do with being swapped out.
Will get better photos tomorrow when I get a chance to wash it!
