Just been outbid on these babies.... Which would have looked soooo nice on my pimp-mobile. But anything over £350 is too much for secondhand reps and I refuse to be drawn in. Oh, and whats the chances of that zero-rated bidder being a scamster ? Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and shell out for some brand new-uns.

True, theres wanting them, and then there's wanting them too much (eg getting into a bidding war at over £350 for secondhand replicas, which has the potential to get into silly money then!)

Hehehe! I spied that little loevly earlier too. It's pretty sweet, but I've always thought the styling of these earlier estelles was a little off!
How much is the ferry from Belfast to Greenock? LAst time I went to "sunny" Belfast I think it cost (the company) £54 return on sleazyjet! Ferries are obscenely overpriced tho': It cost us over £220 last july to go from Pembroke to Rosslaire with the car. Ouch!

It wouldn't leave from Clydeport in Greenock I don't think, the ferrys mostly do the Clyde and Western Isles routes, I'm not sure they do Northern Ireland, then there are all those liners that come in and out of here to and from America and other places further afield. I'm not sure where the nearest Belfast ferry is but it'd be a bit of a drive I think.

Tempting, but I'd get bored of such a heavy motor with a 900cc engine and spend my entire holiday shoving a Volvo T5 engine in there! Besides, that thing's not much closer to me than Belfast is!

Nick, Contact the seller and tell him/her that if the eBay deal falls through you'd be interested in buying the rims. I've done this a few times and ended up getting what I wanted - at more realistic prices. Arfur

Cheers mate, I've done that already! In fact I e-mailed the guy within 15 mins of him listing them that I would buy them there and then, but he wanted to let it run. Maybe he was right as they went to over £50 more than they're worth, but I told him then, and towards the end of the auction that I'd take them at a mutally agreeable price if the top bidder tuned out to be a moron. We'll wait and see.... If nothing comes of it, at least now I've got a Plan B....

Nice, but surely they'll work out pretty pricey? 300+ euro with 6 days to go - that could work out quite steep. And then there's the cost of getting the buggers here! Also, I don't think those particular ones will fit: 7j / 8j x16 are almost certainly gonna be five stud fitment rather than the 4-stud I need. I'll bear it in mind and keep looking there though. A little help might be needed as my German is nicht so gern these days!

'm not sure where the nearest Belfast ferry is but it'd be a bit of a drive I think. IIRC, the ferry to Belfast is from Stranraer
