...pulling up to get petrol the other day, what arrives alongside but a grey one of these: and one of these the other side of me: It was in mint condition, dark blue - Austin I think? And a camper conversion, too The estate got me thinking... How cool would one of those be with a meaty motor up front? B-Series as standard aren't they? Plenty of space under that bonnet for a burbly V6 I would think!

There's an oxbridge like that just round the corner from me. It's a series 6 though, so has smaller fins. It's Maroon over cream and would appear to live outside all year round. I'll try and snap it on my was home! Not sure about the idea of putting a hoofing engine in one ? Legend has it the chassis and suspension bits are so dire that they struggle to keep up with the "enormous" power put out by the 1589 or 1622 b-series, so more hp's would probably make the handling errmm, interesting?

Spooky, both are badge engineered BMCs that could either be Austin or Morris badged (although the Cambridge/Oxford also came as a Riley, Wolseley and MG didn't it?) Now there's an idea. If the MGB is similar, would various suspension and brake parts, as well as the Rover V8, from an MG RV8 go in there with a bit of creativity?
