Finally decided to stop lurking and finally change my status of post virgin. I recently imported my Galant from Japan at the back end of January (after it being on a boat for 2 1/2 months, and a scary moment when that car transporter beached it self in Southampton over Christmas - it wasn't mine thankfully!), and have only had it on the road for about a month. It's no show princess, and I'm using it as a daily - I want to enjoy it rather than bring it out three times a year when we do get some sun
. It's been undersealed twice, dropped by 35mm, and the SSR Mk 1s are going (the replacement Work Equip 03s were delivered yesterday, woohoo!!). Other things that have been done are the mirrors were replaced after the original Galant ones were damaged on the trip over and the electrics were a bit of a mess (they resembled an indian electrical pylon..) so that's been tidied up but still suffering a few gremlins.. Other things that need doing are the valve stem seals (it's smoking a bit on idle), I'm replacing the Recaros at some point with possbily Takata seats and harnesses and a ducktail/chin spoiler. Oh yeah, those fogs are going!

I know it's not much of a project that I can show off my (lack of) mechanical skills, but o did have a KE20 Corolla project that for various reasons never came to fruition, so this time around I just wanted a car that I could drive, straight off the bat 
Cars like these would not have sold lots back then, but would certainly be a nice change of view!
